Aston Villa Eyeing Swoop To Sign £49m Marksman

An update has emerged on Aston Villa and their interest in signing Ferran Torres in the upcoming summer transfer window…

What's the latest on Ferran Torres to Aston Villa?

According to Football Insider, the Villans are keeping tabs on the Spain international with the view to a possible swoop for his services in the coming months.

The report claims that the forward may be on the chopping block at Barcelona as the LaLiga giants face the prospect of needing to generate funds to alleviate their financial concerns.

It is stated that Unai Emery is a big fan of the ex-Manchester City attacker and that the Villa board are prepared to be ambitious in order to back the manager in the market this summer.

What is Ferran Torres' style of play?

The Spanish gem, who Barcelona paid £49m for, is a versatile forward who can play on either flank or through the middle as a number nine and uses his pace and ability on the ball to make things happen in the final third.

Emery has worked wonders with Ollie Watkins, who can also play anywhere across the frontline and uses his speed to punish opposition defenders, in the Premier League this season and could replicate that masterclass with Torres.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins.

Since the World Cup break, the England international has plundered 11 goals and two assists in 17 top-flight appearances for the Spanish head coach. The attacker has been in phenomenal form and has established himself as a regular goalscorer for the Villans with the help of the boss' coaching.

Torres could enjoy similar success in a Villa shirt as the 23-year-old has shown plenty of promise in his short career to date. The winger has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 67 appearances for Barcelona, after managing 16 goals and four assists in 43 outings for Manchester City.

Across 28 Premier League matches under Pep Guardiola, the 6-foot machine scored nine goals 8.24 xG and this shows that the dynamo has the quality to be a lethal finisher in the English top-flight if provided with the right service.

Meanwhile, Watkins has scored 14 goals from 15.47 xG in the division this term, which suggests that there is the possibility of Torres coming in and being more clinical than the Englishman at the top end of the pitch.

Guardiola once claimed that the Barcelona marksman has "the smell" for goal and this, along with his impressive statistics at a young age, indicate that the forward could develop into an excellent option for Villa through the middle alongside or instead of Watkins.

A new Test of resolve after T20 hiatus

ESPNcricinfo previews the first Test between England and Sri Lanka

The Preview by Alan Gardner18-May-2016Match factsMay 19-23, 2016
Start time 11am local (1000 GMT)Big PictureAfter a three-month break, in which the upstart T20 has held court, Test cricket is back. We hope you have a good appetite. In late February, Brendon McCullum signed off his international career by slamming the fastest-ever Test century in Christchurch. What does Headingley, one of England’s most-storied grounds, have in store? There was an almighty tale to be told the last time Sri Lanka were in Yorkshire, England’s cricketing heartland but not one which bestows easy favours on the home team. Angelo Mathews’ masterful, career-best 160 helped set up a dramatic victory, spearheaded by Dhammika Prasad’s 5 for 50 and sealed from the penultimate ball of a pulsating match. Those Headingley heroics secured Sri Lanka’s first (multi-Test) series win in England, as well as a clean sweep in all three formats on their 2014 tour.As Sri Lanka’s players cavorted, and James Anderson shed a tear, England were left contemplating another fresh low. Much has changed since then. Alastair Cook, his face set grimly against the wind and rain, slowly turned around the listing vessel under his command, heaving the ship’s wheel with all his might. Two years on and England are sailing with the breeze at their backs again, negotiating some choppy waters to record significant wins over Australia and South Africa in their last three series. Cook himself is about to crest 10,000 Test runs, uncharted territory for an Englishman. That doesn’t mean they can’t be knocked off course again, however. Headingley was again the scene of an England defeat last summer, as New Zealand squared the two-match series, and it is the venue where they have had least success over recent years. The decision to retain Alex Hales and Nick Compton in the top three, after poor and indifferent returns respectively in South Africa, gives Sri Lanka a couple of obvious pressure points to probe, while there will also be a debutant in the top five, due to James Taylor’s forced retirement. But Sri Lanka have their own areas of concern and it would be a truly remarkable achievement if they were to repeat the feats of 2014. The squad has not changed much but Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene will only contribute from the sidelines – they tallied 516 runs in two Tests last time – while only Mathews and Rangana Herath have more than 50 caps. Prasad has been ruled out of the first Test, and Shaminda Eranga has not played in 18 months; Dushmantha Chameera’s pace will catch the eye but he has to learn to catch the edge in conditions of which he has little knowledge.England will hope that this all amounts to a perfect storm for them. Carlos Brathwaite rained on their World T20 parade but international cricket rarely stops moving and series wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan this summer would mean they hold all nine Test trophies – the first team to do so since Australia in 2008 and giving further heft to their status as a coming team under Trevor Bayliss and Paul Farbrace. As if to further chill the Sri Lankans, the weather in Leeds has become decidedly mucky. Test rewards don’t come easily and it is time for these two teams to get their hands dirty again.Alastair Cook and Angelo Mathews pose with the Investec trophy•Getty Images

Form guideEngland: LWDWL (last five completed matches, most recent first)

Sri Lanka: LLWWL
In the spotlightStepping in to the spot sadly vacated by Taylor is the elegant, unflappable Hampshire batsman James Vince. Marked out as a future international since being compared to Michael Vaughan as an 18-year-old, Vince’s cover drive ought to be classified as an addictive substance but he has learned that there are times when he must overcome his urges to succeed, as a gutsy hundred against Yorkshire demonstrated last month. That innings won over the selectors and he will be back on the same ground looking to prove himself the man to shore up England’s slightly mercurial batting order at No. 5.Big Foot would have a job filling Sangakkara’s boots but it seems like that is just what Kusal Mendis will be asked to do. Experiments with Upul Tharanga, Udara Jayasundera and Lahiru Thirimanne at No. 3 have all been short-lived and Mendis, who made his debut there last year before opening the batting in New Zealand, has had an encouraging start to the tour, with fifties against Essex and Leicestershire. Sangakkara has said he believes the 21-year-old former Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year will be “a very good player as the years go by”; Mathews must be hoping that the future isn’t all that far off.Teams newsAlastair Cook confirmed his XI on Wednesday and there are just two changes to the England team that was roundly thumped in Centurion at the end of the South Africa series, with Vince making his Test introduction and Steven Finn fit to reclaim his place from Chris Woakes. That means no debut for Nottinghamshire’s highly rated seamer Jake Ball.England 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Alex Hales, 3 Nick Compton, 4 Joe Root, 5 James Vince, 6 Ben Stokes, 7 Jonny Bairstow (wk), 8 Moeen Ali, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Steven Finn, 11 James AndersonThe major question marks for Sri Lanka hover over No. 7 and the make-up of the pace attack. Kaushal Silva will return to opener, after missing the New Zealand tour, while Dinesh Chandimal looks likely to keep the gloves and bat four. Dasun Shanaka’s century against Leicestershire, and his ability to bowl seam-up, may win him a Test debut in the allrounder’s spot; Prasad’s injury reduces their bowling options, with the four other seamers in the party having played once each so far, to underwhelming effect.Sri Lanka (probable) 1 Dimuth Karunaratne, 2 Kaushal Silva, 3 Kusal Mendis, 4 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 5 Angelo Mathews (capt), 6 Milinda Siriwardana, 7 Dasun Shanaka, 8 Rangana Herath, 9 Dushmantha Chameera, 10 Shaminda Eranga/Nuwan Pradeep 11 Suranga LakmalPitch and conditionsHeadingley is likely to be as capricious as ever over the next few days, with rain showers set to break up play while providing longed-for cloud cover for the bowlers. The pitch had a green tinge to it one day out but, if the sun shines, it should still be good to bat on, as Root and Bairstow proved during their record-breaking 372-stand during the last Championship match held there.Stats and trivia Alastair Cook needs 36 runs to become the 12th player – and first Englishman – to 10,000 in Tests. If he gets there in this Test, he will be the youngest to do so. England’s only victory in their last six Tests at Headingley came in 2013 against New Zealand. They have lost four and drawn one. Rangana Herath needs three wickets to become the third Sri Lankan to 300 in Tests. If Sri Lanka’s last tour had been played using the proposed multiformat points system, they would have won 14-6 (with four points for a Test win, two for a draw, two for a limited-overs win).Quotes”Sri Lanka have got a history of punching above their weight and are really, really competitive, no matter what’s gone before.”
Alastair Cook suggests he won’t be taking the opposition lightly“When you have 20-odd thousand runs in your team it is a great advantage, but unfortunately we don’t have them any more.”

England's chase 'absolutely remarkable' – Morgan

Eoin Morgan said he had “never seen anything like it” as England thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the second ODI at Edgbaston

Eoin Morgan said he had “never seen anything like it” as England thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the second ODI at Edgbaston.Morgan, England’s captain, hailed an “absolutely remarkable” unbroken opening stand of 256 – a record for any wicket for England in ODI cricket – as Alex Hales and Jason Roy both recorded unbeaten centuries and career-best ODI scores. It is the highest total overhauled by a 10-wicket margin by any side in the history of ODI cricket.”That chase was absolutely remarkable,” Morgan said. “I’ve never experienced anything like it. We were so in control without being reckless. The two boys were outstanding. They were very imposing and they played brilliant, very entertaining cricket.”But both Roy and Morgan also praised England’s bowlers for a much-improved performance that kept Sri Lanka to a total that could have been as much as 100 under par on an excellent batting surface.”I said after Trent Bridge that we were way-off with the ball,” Morgan said. “Here, I didn’t think we did anything exceptional, but we did the basics well. It didn’t swing or nip off the seam and there are always huge challenges in one-day cricket when that doesn’t happen.”But we starved them of runs. We banged out a length and we used our bouncers well. We built pressure that way which resulted in us taking wickets. It was brilliant.”It was a lesson for us last year when we played against Australia. They are a really good at doing that and we picked up that we needed to be better at it.”Roy, who celebrated his first international century in England, agreed. “The bowlers kept Sri Lanka to a total where we didn’t feel under a huge amount of pressure going out there,” he said. “So a huge amount of credit must go to them.”The victory not only gave England a 1-0 lead in the series, but an unassailable 13-3 lead in the Super Series. It left Morgan reflecting on England’s fortune in escaping with a tie from the first ODI in which they played “poorly” in his words.”I emphasised after that game that it was our get out of jail free card,” Morgan said. “We played very poorly as a team, but a few individuals performed exceptionally well and did enough that we went unscathed. A six off the last ball doesn’t happen very often.”Angelo Mathews, the Sri Lanka captain, admitted it was a “disappointing performance” from his side’s batsmen but suggested they must “forget about it as quickly as possible” with another ODI looming on Sunday.”Simply we didn’t get enough runs on the board for our bowlers to get them out,” Mathews said. “It was a belter of a wicket. 256 was below par; 300 is a must on that wicket. It played brilliantly. It was a little bit slow in the first half but it got better and better so we fell short by 50 or 60 runs.”We have to try to flush it out of the system and forget about this game as quickly as possible because we’ve got only one day to come back and play pretty well.”Our batsmen are in good nick and unfortunately they get 20s and 30s and getting run out is absolutely not on. And it is unfortunate that it has been happening the last two games and hopefully we can run well in the next three games and not give run outs to the opposition.”He was also full of praise for the England batsmen. “They are explosive openers and if you give them a chance then that’s what they can do; they can destroy any attack and unfortunately we didn’t have the penetration today. Jason and Alex batted brilliantly to get them home.”

Wolves Must Sign Immense £17m La Liga Star

It’s been a strenuous season for Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have faced the consequences of changing managers mid-season and emerged with flying colours.

When Bruno Lage departed in October, Wolves had one win in their previous 15 which subsequently placed them towards the relegation zone.

Julen Lopeteguihad a huge task when he was appointed in November, however the Spaniard has ensured Premier League survival and is on the path to improving the squad this summer.

With just two games remaining of this campaign, the former Real Madrid manager will soon have the chance to put his own stamp on the current squad, with a busy transfer window expected.

The status of a player once wanted at Molineux has taken an unexpected turn that could interest Lopetegui, as he looks to reincorporate goals into his side.

What’s the latest on Kang-in Lee to Wolves?

Korean forward Kang-in Lee was first linked to a move to Wolverhampton in 2021 when the club were in business to sell Rafa Mir to Valencia.

Spanish news outlet Sport Aragorn reported that in order for the deal to happen at the time, Valencia would need to offload players, where Kang-in Lee’s name was first mentioned at Molineux as potentially being a separate deal.

It’s since been reported in recent months by Fabrizio Romano, however, that the 22-year-old could finally be Premier League bound this summer, with clubs “monitoring” the youngster's movements, saying there are “good chances” the player could venture to England.

Last week, Spanish media suggested that the €20m (£17m) talent has an 'open door for June', which would allow him to leave.

What could Kang-in Lee bring to Wolves?

The forward made the move from Valencia to Mallorca in 2021 despite speculation that linked him with Wolves, and has made a name for himself in La Liga.

As per Sofascore, the South Korean has maintained an average match rating of 7.11 in the league this season, ranking him as Mallorca’s best-performing player.

Praised by U23 scout and journalist Antonio Mango on Twitter as “immense”, the 22-year-old has contributed to ten goals in La Liga, scoring six himself and assisting four in 33 appearances.

The promising forward has shone in the Mallorca side and happens to be likened to Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze statistically as per FBref.

The prospect of Wolves having their own Eze is something the club cannot ignore. Indeed, having scored the fewest number of goals in the Premier League this season, Lopetegui is simply crying out for a dangerous attacking threat.

A player boasting similar qualities as the Palace menace would certainly go down a treat, with the attacker having been in rampant form of late under Roy Hodgson, scoring ten league goals, six of which have come in his last seven outings.

In comparison to players in Kang's position in Europe’s top five leagues, the wily character ranks highly in a range of attributes, including being in the top 1% of most successful take-ons per 90, averaging 2.57 – as per FBref.

He also features in the top 11% of non-penalty goals scored, recording 0.21 per 90, showing his threat going forward and ability to convert when needed for his team.

It’s been a season of lessons for Wolves, however, one teaching most prominent in Lopetegui’s mind going into the transfer window is the lack of goals coming from his side, an Eze-esque threat such as Kang-in Lee would bolster this area.

Amir's devastating swing sends warning to England

If there were any doubts about Mohammad Amir’s preparedness for a return to Test cricket, he has gone a long way towards dispelling them in Taunton with an incisive spell of top-class swing bowling

‘Amir has only got better’ – Masood

If there were any doubts about Mohammad Amir’s preparedness for a return to Test cricket, he has gone a long way towards dispelling them in Taunton with an incisive spell of top-class swing bowling.Amir claimed three top-order wickets in a performance that demonstrated sharp pace, even sharper movement and impressive control to suggest that, whatever else has happened since the last time we saw him bowl in England, his extravagant skills remain undimmed.Such is notoriety surrounding Amir – his talent as much as his fall from grace – that it might be forgotten that he goes into this tour with much to prove. This was his first first-class game of the year and only his fifth in almost six years. The last time he played at the top level he was just 18. Amir child, if you will. He has questions to answer, to himself as much as anyone, about his stamina, fitness and ability to block out the distractions and overcome the challenges that await. And it is true he may face tougher opposition and more hostile environments than he faced here. At Taunton he was greeted with warm applause when it was announced he was to bowl – it was never likely to be any other way – and then confronted by two top-order batsmen as green as The Quantocks and one who seems to have been around as long as them. But it is doubtful it would have mattered who was at the other end. The delivery that accounted for Marcus Trescothick, a beauty on off stump that demanded a stroke before swinging away late to take the edge of his bat, would have troubled any left-handed batsman in any era. Alastair Cook faces quite a challenge this summer. And while the doubters might suggest a more experienced player than Adam Hose – on first-class debut – might have kept out the ball that brought Amir his next wicket, it’s worth noting that Hose is only a year younger than Amir. Having played pretty well for half-an-hour, Hose saw Amir go round the wicket and swing one back in sharply to take his off stump. He will never have faced bowing of such quality and he may never again after this match. This was a desperately tough baptism. But the best delivery of the lot was reserved for Peter Trego. Back over the wicket, Amir pitched the ball just outside off stump and persuaded it to swing back, through the gate and send Trego’s middle stump cartwheeling. It was, by any standards, beautiful bowling. And, on a benign pitch offering him little, suggested he could prove devastating if England gamble with the sort of surfaces they utilised so effectively against Australia last year.”He swung the ball really late,” Trescothick said. “You get a lot of bowlers who swing it quite early but he was swinging it late. That bit of extra pace is the thing. He hasn’t played international cricket for a number of years so there’s probably an extra bit of zip that he has that makes him hard work. As it was coming down the pitch you were almost guessing whether it was an inswinger or whether it was one of the straight ones.”On that performance, yes, he will cause problems for England.”Adam Hose was one of Mohammad Amir’s three wickets•Getty Images

Amir’s day had started less happily. His first delivery as a batsman was called as a no-ball, the cue for somewhat awkward laughter on and off the pitch, while the next took his edge on the way to the keeper. But it is not his batting that will decide the Test series. It is Amir detail, if you like. It is his bowling. And on the evidence of this performance, it is in fine shape.”He bowled an incredible spell,” his team-mate Shan Masood said. “We have no doubts about his talent. We’ve seen it before and we’re seeing it again. He hasn’t lost it. If anything, he has just got better.”Masood was also keen to point out the ability of the rest of this Pakistan attack. And it is true that Sohail Khan, in particular, impressed with a three-wicket haul of his own. With an action just a little reminiscent of Waqar Younis, he had Tim Rouse – another Somerset debutant – edging one that left him, while Yasir Shah proved too good for the tail. Dominic Bess, the 18-year-old first-class debut, left a straight one that hit his off stump.James Hildreth, undefeated on 47, offered the only meaningful resistance. While he was reprieved on 13, he did show the resolve and technique to justify the locals’ argument that he should be featuring strongly in national selection meetings at present. The counter argument suggests he is not comfortable against the short ball and has an average artificially boosted by playing his home games on Taunton’s batting-friendly surface. But 38 first-class centuries and an average of nearly 45 makes a compelling case. Had he been given a little more support here, he might have made an even stronger one. The fact that no selectors were in evidence does not bode well for him.It all meant Pakistan took a first innings lead of 231. But there was no thought of enforcing the follow-on. This game is about gaining the maximum amount of practice rather than the result. Besides, with Azhar Ali stretching the lead close to 400 by the close, they may well still have time to wrap-up victory on the final day. You might even call it Amir formality. The only cloud on Pakistan’s horizon concerns the form of their captain. After his second ball duck in the first innings, Misbah-ul-Haq fell for 19 in the second innings and dropped a tough chance off Hildreth in the slips. It is too early to read much into such issues, but Misbah is asking a great deal of himself to negate a skilful England bowling attack on their own surfaces at the age of 42.Perhaps he was a little unfortunate here. He made decent contact on a reverse sweep only to see the slip fielder Trescothick, only two years younger than Misbah, anticipate the stroke, move to his right and take a fine catch.Mohammad Hafeez also delayed his departure just a little too long after he was given out caught behind. It makes no difference whether Hafeez edged the ball or not – replays were inconclusive – as a senior player, he must know there is no benefit in head-shaking, shrugging or complaining. It wasn’t by any means a serious incident – and certainly no worse than a few we have seen involving England’s seamers in recent years – but, on a tour that will be scrutinised closely, it was the sort of moment Pakistan could do without.Such is the trepidation in the Pakistan camp about what this tour may bring, they have hired a PR consultant from the world of politics to accompany them and largely protect Amir from the media. But, even if there are those who begrudge Amir his chance to make amends – those who, presumably, have never made a mistake in their lives – there will surely be very few true cricket lovers who can remain hard-hearted in the face of such precocious skills. Bowlers so gifted appear rarely; Test cricket can only be enhanced by his return. The vast majority of England spectators will surely recognise both the rare skill and the fact that he has served his punishment. This has been a pleasing few days for Pakistan and for cricket. We could well be in for a cracking Test series. There’s no down side to that.

Burnley Can Land Their Own Haaland With £20m Signing

Burnley secured their promotion to the Premier League in style as they won the Championship title with 101 points in the 2022/23 campaign.

Vincent Kompany must now build a squad that is capable of competing in the top-flight in order to avoid an instant relegation back down to the second tier and a striker is reportedly on his summer wishlist.

Ashley Barnes has left Turf Moor to sign for Norwich City on a free transfer and this opens up a spot in the roster for another number nine to take his place.

Earlier this month, Football Insider reported that the Clarets are one of the teams showing interest in Coventry star Viktor Gyokeres, who is said to be valued at £20m heading into the summer window.

What is Viktor Gyokeres' style of play?

The Sweden international is a powerful and tall centre-forward who plays in a similar way to current Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

Since arriving in England from Borussia Dortmund last summer, the Norway international has taken the top flight by storm and set a new record for goals in a single Premier League. He has found the back of the net 36 times, enough to take the record off Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, who both scored 34.

Gyokeres may not be able to smash records in the top division but Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray went as far as to compare his dominant style in the Championship to the City marksman's in the top division. The English coach said:

“He looks a yard more powerful and a yard quicker than everyone else, he’s a really confident boy. I don’t want to say he should test himself in the Premier League but who is like him in the Premier League at the moment?

“Who is too fast, too strong and too big, you would suggest Haaland is like that and Gyokeres in this league looks a yard faster and stronger than the players he plays against in the Championship."

The 24-year-old, who stands at 6 foot 2, has used his strength, power, pace, and quality to burst past opposition defenders on a regular basis.

He ranks in the top 4% of players in his position in the Men's Next Eight Competitions over the last 365 days in progressive carries and successful take-ons per 90, which shows that he is one of the best around at driving past players to progress his team up the pitch.

Gyokeres, who was hailed as "outstanding" and "mustard" by TalkSPORT pundit Adrian Clarke, has been in phenomenal touch this term, scoring 21 goals and providing ten assists in 44 starts in the Championship for Coventry.

This shows that the young forward has the quality to make regular contributions at the top end of the pitch and as a result, could spearhead Burnley's attack in the Premier League next season if he is able to make the step up to the top-level.

He may not plunder 36 goals in a title-winning campaign like Haaland but his physical and dominant style of play could make him Kompany's own version of Manchester City's star centre-forward.

Spurs Could Appoint 64 y/o Boss To Replace Conte In N17

Tottenham Hotspur manager contender Luciano Spalletti is 'fully in the race' to replace Antonio Conte in north London, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.

What's the latest news involving Luciano Spalletti?

Area Napoli transcribed by Sport Witness have relayed that journalist Ciro Venerato has indicated that Tottenham, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain would be 'concretely interested' in making Spalletti their new manager.

Il Mattino via OneFootball report that the 64-year-old is keen to take a sabbatical at the end of this season following a Serie A title-winning campaign with the Italian giants.

The outlet claim that there will be no compensation regarding his prospective exit at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and Napoli will instead insert a clause to allow him to return before his contract in Naples runs out in 2024.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is believed to be eyeing up former Spurs boss Conte as a replacement for Spalletti. However, the former Italy manager would need to take a pay cut to step into Spalletti's shoes, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Galetti has revealed that Spalletti is definitely on Spurs' radar alongside Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim as they search for a new manager.

Galetti said: “Ruben Amorim, together with Luciano Spalletti, as we have seen, is fully in the race for the Spurs job. The current Sporting manager in terms of the idea of play and tactical model would be seen as a choice of continuity compared to today.”

Who else is in the running for the Tottenham Hotspur vacancy?

Interestingly, Spalletti averages 2.39 points per game with Napoli this season and was described as a "genius" by Victor Osimhen.

As per The Independent, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is being 'strongly considered' for the Tottenham vacancy amid reports that previous frontrunner, Arne Slot of Feyenoord, is now set to commit his future to the reigning Eredivisie champions.

The outlet reports that Spurs hope a deal will be easier to initiate than their failed attempts to land Slot as their new boss due to all parties enjoying a friendly relationship.

Brendan Rodgers at Leicester

FootballTransfers claim that former Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has been 'formally offered' the chance to become the new Tottenham manager. Daniel Levy is not said to favour the 50-year-old, though support from other boardroom members regarding his prospective appointment is vast.

Luis Enrique and Graham Potter are on standby in case Rodgers elects to decline the opportunity to step into the dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It looks like Tottenham fans are in for an exciting few weeks as they look forward to finding out who will take the club forward into next season.
