Speaking exclusively to French news outlet Le Republicain Lorrain, Metz defender Matthieu Udol confirmed that Tottenham striking target Habib Diallo is in fact seeking a move away, and the Lilywhites could land a perfect Harry Kane understudy for a reported £12.5m fee. 

Diallo, who has been linked with a move to north London over the past few months, is also said to be keen on a switch to Spurs – with a report courtesy of BeIN Sports via TEAMtalk suggesting that he favours Tottenham over all other interest.

Given the Senegalese target man’s eagerness for a Premier League move, specifically to link up with Jose Mourinho, and the Lilywhites’ dire need for a forward who can provide strength in depth behind Kane, this appears to be a match made in heaven.

At just 25 years of age, Diallo hit double figures for Metz over 2019/20, racking up 12 goals in 26 starts for the club (WhoScored).

Fellow Spurs-linked forwards Callum Wilson and Josh King, whilst impressing in flashes for Bournemouth last season, could only just beat that total with their tallies combined (14).

Given that the homegrown duo could command higher prices, it’s debatable that a swoop for Diallo cries out as the superior transfer option, especially going by his overall statistics.

Indeed, the 6 ft 1 colossus, whilst averaging more shots per match than Kane last season, also won a head-turning 4.3 aerial duels per game in that time, drawing attention to his physicality and presence up front.

While Diallo seeks pastures new, and has shown real interest in a north London move, it appears that Daniel Levy could strike gold with this bargain swoop.

تم الانتهاء من صفقة الملكية الجديدة اليوم الخميس بعد موافقة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، بعد أن ثبت أن الدولة السعودية لن تسيطر على النادي.

وفي بيان يؤكد الصفقة، قال الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز: “تلقينا الآن تأكيدات ملزمة قانونًا بأن المملكة العربية السعودية لن تسيطر على نادي نيوكاسل يونايتد لكرة القدم”.

تم اعتبار صندوق الاستثمارات العامة (PIF)، الذي قدم 80 في المائة من الأموال للاستحواذ البالغ 300 مليون جنيه إسترليني، منفصلاً عن الدولة السعودية، مما سمح لعملية الاستحواذ باجتياز اختبار الملاك والمديرين في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، والـ20 في المائة الأخرى مقسمة بالتساوي بين شركة ستافيلي والأخوين روبن.

وتعززت فرص صندوق الاستثمارات العامة على ما يبدو هذا الأسبوع عندما حسمت المملكة العربية السعودية نزاع قرصنة مزعوم مع قناة beIN Sports، التي تملك حقوق بث مباريات الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في الشرق الأوسط.

انسحبت المجموعة من الصفقة العام الماضي عندما طلب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز توضيحًا بشأن من سيسيطر على نادي نيوكاسل يونايتد.

أقام الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Sports Direct، آشل، الذي بدأت ملكيته لشركة نيوكاسل يونايتد في عام 2007، إجراءات تحكيم من المقرر إجراؤها في أوائل العام المقبل.

وجاء في بيان الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز ما يلي: “قام الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز ونادي نيوكاسل يونايتد لكرة القدم وسانت جيمس هولدينجز المحدودة اليوم بتسوية الخلاف حول استحواذ اتحاد PIF وPCP Capital Partners وRB Sports & Media على النادي، بعد الانتهاء من اختبار ملاك ومديري الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، تم بيع النادي إلى الاتحاد بأثر فوري”.

“تتعلق النزاعات القانونية بالكيانات التي تمتلك أو لديها القدرة على السيطرة على النادي بعد الاستحواذ، اتفقت جميع الأطراف على أن التسوية ضرورية لإنهاء حالة عدم اليقين الطويلة للجماهير بشأن ملكية النادي، تلقى الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز الآن تأكيدات ملزمة قانونًا بأن المملكة العربية السعودية لن تسيطر على نادي نيوكاسل يونايتد لكرة القدم”.

“يسعد جميع الأطراف أن تكون قد اختتمت هذه العملية التي تعطي اليقين والوضوح لنادي نيوكاسل يونايتد لكرة القدم ومشجعيهم”.

سيكون حاكم صندوق الاستثمارات العامة ياسر الرميان مديرًا غير تنفيذي للنادي، بينما سيكون ستافيلي في مجلس الإدارة وجيمي روبن أيضًا مديرًا.

وقال الرميان: “نحن فخورون للغاية بأن نكون المالكين الجدد لنادي نيوكاسل يونايتد، أحد أشهر الأندية في كرة القدم الإنجليزية، نشكر جماهير نيوكاسل على دعمهم المخلص للغاية على مر السنين ونحن متحمسون للعمل معهم”.

ومن جانبه، قال ستافيلي: “هذا استثمار طويل الأمد، نحن متحمسون للآفاق المستقبلية لنيوكاسل يونايتد، نعتزم غرس فلسفة موحدة في جميع أنحاء النادي، وإنشاء هدف واضح  والمساعدة في توفير القيادة التي ستسمح لنيوكاسل يونايتد بالمضي قدمًا في تحقيق إنجازات كبيرة على المدى الطويل”.

وأتم: “يتماشى طموحنا مع الجماهير لإنشاء فريق ناجح باستمرار يتنافس بانتظام على البطولات الكبرى ويولد الفخر في جميع أنحاء العالم”.

وتلاقى المنتخبان في إطار منافسات دور نصف نهائي دوري الأمم الأوروبية، حيث فازت فرنسا بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدفين.

وطلب هازارد التغيير في الشوط الثاني، حيث بدا وكأنه يعاني من إصابة عضلية منعته من استكمال المباراة.

وأوضح الاتحاد البلجيكي منذ قليل أن هازارد لن يستكمل معسكر المنتخب الوطني، حيث سيعود إلى ريال مدريد مرة أخرى.

Glasgow Rangers forward Kemar Roofe was missing for the club at the weekend as they drew against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. This was due to the fact that he had to be taken off in their Europa League qualifying match last week in the first half with an injury.

Supporters of the club are possibly questioning how long the striker will be on the sidelines for and manager Steven Gerrard has been discussing the severity of the injury.

Speaking to RangersTV following the 2-2 draw with Hibs, Gerrard was asked about Roofe’s injury and he said: “He’s been sent for a scan.

“We originally thought it might’ve been a bit of tightness in his calf, he thought it was tightness in his calf. On assessment, it was looking that way, but something’s showed up so he’s going to be missing in the short term.”

The 27 year-old, who the Scottish side signed for £4.5 million, per Transfermarkt, has had a decent start to life at the club, as he has scored two goals in six appearances (including two appearances from the bench).

With the Gers battling at the top of the division and hoping to beat Celtic to the title, Gerrard will be hoping that he can have his whole squad available. With Roofe having to go for a scan, the manager has Alfredo Morelos, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe as his available attackers. This would normally sound like he still has some depth, but Defoe has only recently returned from a hamstring injury so he is still battling to get match fit, and so it leaves the club with just two fully fit options.

The only positive to come from this news is the fact that Gerrard has said that he’s ‘going to be missing in the short term’ which should hopefully mean Roofe only misses a couple of games and not a large chunk of the season. For now though, all associated with the club will have to wait to find out exactly how long he will be out for.

طالب مدافع منتخب إنجلترا ومانشستر سيتي الأسبق، داني ميلز، إدارة ليفربول ببذل المزيد من المجهود من أجل تجديد عقد مهاجم وجناح الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، محمد صلاح.

وينتهي عقد محمد صلاح الحالي مع ليفربول في يونيو 2023، ولكن يرغب النادي الإنجليزي في تجديده والاحتفاظ بالمصري الدولي لسنوات أخرى.

وتحدث ميلز عن رأيه في تجديد، محمد صلاح، خلال حواره مع شبكة “Football Insider” الإنجليزية، وقال: “يا له من لاعب رائع، ويستحق كل هذا العناء من أجل تمديد عقده”.

وتابع: “إذا استمر مستواه على هذا النحو، لو خسره ليفربول ورحل فكم ستكون تكلفة تعويضه في المستقبل؟”.

وأضاف: “سيدفع ليفربول مبلغا يتراوح بين 60 إلى 70 مليون جنيه إسترليني، وسيضطر إلى دفع راتب أسبوعي قدره 150 إلى 200 ألف جنيه إسترليني حتى يعوض رحيل، محمد صلاح”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “على إدارة ليفربول دراسة الأمر جيدًا، سيتعين عليهم دفع الأموال مقابل التعاقد مع صفقة جيدة إلى جانب راتب ورسوم تسجيل اللاعب”.

واستمر: “قد تكون المفاوضات صعبة ومزعجة بالنسبة لإدارة ليفربول ولكن إذا كنت مكان المدير الرياضي أو المدرب (يورجن كلوب) سأفضل بقاء محمد صلاح لأنه أفضل من أي لاعب جديد، ويستحق الحصول على 100 مليون جنيه إسترليني، لذلك عليهم استغلال الوقت الحالي ووجود اللاعب داخل أنفيلد للحفاظ عليه”.

وأتم: “إذا كنت تعمل في شركة ما، ستعرف أن كل موظف سيتقاضى راتبًا مختلفًا عن الآخرين لأنهم يؤدون أدوارًا مختلفة كثيرًا”.
