علق حسام حسن المدير الفني لنادي الاتحاد السكندري على فوز فريقه ضد بيراميدز التي أقيمت اليوم ببطولة كأس الرابطة.

واستطاع الاتحاد أن يهزم بيراميدز بهدفين مقابل هدف في المباراة الافتتاحية للفريقين بمشوارهما في كأس الرابطة.

وقال حسام حسن في المؤتمر الصحفي: “واجهنا فريقا يمتلك إمكانيات كبيرة بدون شك وقدمنا مباراة تكتيكية، ولعبنا بالشكل الذي توقعناه”.

وأضاف: “أحيي حسام عاشور على أدائه ورجوعه من الصليبي ونادر رمضان أيضًا، واللاعبون كلهم كانوا يكملون بعضهم البعض وأغلقنا المساحات وكنا مصرين على تحقيق الفوز أمام فريق قوي خارج ملعبنا”.

وعن منتخب مصر تحدث قائلًا: “لا تعليق على فسخ عقد البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش مع المنتخب، هو مدرب عادي، والمسؤولون عن اختياره هم الذين سيحاسبون”.

The dream appointment is still on the cards for Celtic supporters. The name Ralf Rangnick is one that’s been popular with fans and indeed, he could still make a move to Glasgow.

What’s the word?

Rangnick had been linked with the Germany job but he was also reportedly in discussions over a sporting director role at Schalke.

However, according to the man himself, that is now firmly off the table.

The 62-year-old issued a statement this weekend reading: “Schalke is very close to my heart. The overwhelmingly positive reactions from members of the Königsblauen community have influenced me and confirmed my feelings for this very special club.”

Rangnick added “I would have loved to been involved in helping Schalke on its difficult road back to its former strength. Unfortunately, due to the numerous uncertainties within the club at the moment, I do not see myself being able to take on sporting responsibility at S04 at the moment.”

This is a major twist in Celtic’s hunt for a new manager. Only a few days ago it looked as though the German’s name was one they could cross off the shortlist.

Yet, they can now firmly put him at the top of their list again.

Desmond must be buzzing

This is incredibly exciting news for Celtic fans. They were lusting after Rangnick a few months ago but it looked as though their hopes had been diminished this week.

That being said, the possibility of the German now arriving at Parkhead has been elevated.

As a consequence, he was able to work out how hard his squad would be able to train. They would also test gluten and lactose and tailor diets to each individual’s requirements as a result. His methods were so meticulous that he also brought in a sleep coach.

It’s pretty evident why this would be a dream hire.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, Wolves legend Steve Bull claims his former club are playing too comfortably instead of pushing themselves and taking the game to teams.

Since Wolves won promotion back to the Premier League, they have generally operated with Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves as a midfielder partnership, however neither player has the speed to be a box-to-box midfielder.

Both Neves and Moutinho are great on the ball and have recorded the most passes out of any Wolves players in the Premier League this season, highlighting their obvious strength and how they adapt to lacking that yard of pace.

However, Moutinho is 35-years-old this year and Wolves may look into replacing him with a younger player who is able to get up and down the pitch, with Moutinho having just six touches in the opposition’s box.

Speaking on how Wolves have become comfortable in themselves and what they are missing in midfield, Bull told FFC:

“We need somebody to get forward from midfield because at the moment we’ve only got one man in the box, so we need somebody who will be flying in there.

وأتم تصريحاته: “هدفنا واضح في كاف وهو تطوير أداء جميع المنتخبات، خلال كأس العالم 2022 في قطر، على المنتخبات الإفريقية إظهار إمكانياتها لأن لديها المواهب اللازمة وواثق من قدراتها على تحقيق نتائج جيدة”.

Swansea City looked to have suffered a huge injury blow during the international break after footage emerged of Andre Ayew limping off after Ghana’s 3-1 win over Sao Tome and Principe at the weekend, however, the 31-year-old has now eased fears over his injury problems.

Journalist Gary Al-Smith had left Swansea fans concerned when he posted footage of the striker limping off after Ghana’s win at the weekend, with his leg heavily bandaged and him requiring the assistance of two medical staff members in order to make his way off the pitch.

However, the former West Ham man has since eased worries about his potential injury, confirming after the game that:

“It’s a knock. The doctors have seen. I can put my leg on the floor. There won’t be any issue.”

Cooper will therefore be massively relieved that his top scorer should be available after the international break, as there will have understandably been some concerns about his fitness after he picked up the injury.

Ayew, who is currently rated at £3.6 million by Transfermarkt, has been one of Swansea’s best performers in the Championship so far this season, contributing 14 goals and two assists in 36 league appearances, which has helped him average an impressive 7.20 rating.

This ranks him as their best performer of those who have made at least five appearances this season, whilst he is also comfortably the top scorer in Cooper’s side, with Jamal Lowe second with just nine Championship goals so far this campaign.

Speaking earlier in the season, the 41-year-old manager was full of praise for Ayew, saying:

“Andre is a leader, regardless of whether or not he wears the armband. He always stands up and leads by example. He’s a massive influence at this club.”
