Varginha:38 jogos e 10 gols

Mogi Mirim: 63 jogos e 26 gols

Santos:60 jogos e 6 gols

Avaí: 101 jogos e 14 gols

Coritiba: 127 jogos e 18 gols

Palmeiras: 75 jogos e 11 gols

Cruzeiro: 35 jogos e 11 gols

Total: 499 jogos e 96 gols

Pundit worried about Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future

Marcus Bent doesn’t think that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the type to demand a transfer, but fears that Everton might lose the striker this summer.

The 24-year-old is on the back of the best goalscoring season of his career, which has led to uncertainty surrounding his Goodison Park future.

Whilst Calvert-Lewin found goals harder to come by in the final months of the campaign, he still managed 16 in the Premier League and 21 in all competitions, although he couldn’t propel the Toffees back into Europe following their final day defeat to Manchester City.

But 2020-2021 was a real turning point on a personal level for the Sheffield United Academy graduate, who’s now a regular in the England squad and made his competitive debut against Croatia.

And Calvert-Lewin, who reportedly earns £100,000-a-week, is now wanted by former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti for around £50m less than three weeks after the Italian swapped Merseyside for Madrid and returned to the Spanish capital.

This comes after the striker was a transfer target for Manchester United, although that was before they secured Edinson Cavani’s services for another season.

But with some of Europe’s biggest clubs now sniffing around, Bent is hopeful but not confident that Calvert-Lewin will stick around.

He exclusively told Football FanCast:

“He’s got better and better, scoring more goals, and becoming wiser. I don’t think he’s gone into the manager’s office and said, ‘I want to leave’, I just think there’s a big focus on him and he’s doing well.

“He’s hit the ground running and he’s doing well, so hopefully Everton can keep him on board, I doubt it, but we shall see.”

Harris shows how, again, for Canterbury

Chris Harris might have missed out on a place in the all-time Canterbury XI, but he proved his worth to the modern generation of players and supporters when setting up a possible match-winning advantage over Otago at Alexandra today

Warwick Larkins13-Mar-2002Chris Harris might have missed out on a place in the all-time Canterbury XI, but he proved his worth to the modern generation of players and supporters when setting up a possible match-winning advantage over Otago at Alexandra today. When Canterbury began the second day today at 31/3, it seemed unlikely that they could secure a first innings lead over Otago. The Canterbury batsmen never looked completely assured against the bowling of David Sewell. But after some resolute batting from Harris, Paul Wiseman and Peter Fulton, they eventually went on to gain a lead of 18 runs. Harris scored 51 and helped add 78 runs for the sixth wicket with Fulton (33).When Fulton was out at 174/8 there was still a lot of work for the remaining two Canterbury wickets to do to overhaul the Otago first innings total of 206. Wiseman was not fazed at all by this and hit hard to be finally dismissed last for 44 and with the Canterbury total at 224.When rain sent the players and umpires from the field at 4.37 pm Otago were badly situated at 19/2.Sewell recorded his second best career figures of seven for 64 from 24 overs and deserved this success. He bowled a good line and length throughout.Kerry Walmsley took one for 67 from 22 overs and Craig Pryor one for 51 from 17 but were a little wayward at times. Nathan Morland with one for 32 from 11 overs captured the remaining wicket.Otago began their second innings only 18 runs in arrears but were soon in trouble when they lost Robbie Lawson and Craig Cumming, who bagged a pair, when the total was 19 – soon to be followed by Brendon McCullum and Chris Gaffaney with no further addition to the score. At that stage it seemed the game could possibly end on day two.Rain interrupted play for almost an hour and after the resumption it was calculated that to complete the required number of overs for the day, light permitting, play would go to 7.45pm.Light didn’t permit and at 7.03pm play was abandoned for the day with the Otago total at 75/5 – a lead of 57 with two days play remaining.Wade Cornelius with three wickets to go with his four from the first innings was the successful Canterbury bowler while Ryan Burson and Harris captured one victim each.At this stage it would seem Canterbury would be favoured to achieve the outright win but Otago obviously will be fighting hard to somehow achieve their first and only outright win of the season.

Graham Smyth provides Jack Harrison update

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is expected to join the Whites on a permanent deal next week, according to journalist Graham Smyth.

The Lowdown: Harrison shines on loan

The 24-year-old has been an excellent player for Leeds, shining under Marcelo Bielsa and scoring 18 goals in 128 appearances.

Harrison has just completed his third season on loan at Elland Road from Manchester City, but it now looks as though the move will be made permanent, as expected.

The Latest: Smyth provides key update

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday evening, the Yorkshire Evening Post‘s Smyth confirmed that the deal to bring in Harrison permanently is ‘expected to be completed next week’.

The winger won’t return for pre-season testing on Thursday, however, because he is still quarantining.

The Verdict: Significant boost for Leeds

This is a massive boost for Leeds, with Harrison such a prominent figure during a wonderful period in the club’s history.

The Englishman is such a force on and off the ball, ending up the Whites’ joint second-top scorer in the Premier League last season, scoring their first goal back in the top-flight, away to Liverpool.

He also averaged 1.8 tackles per game, however, highlighting his tenacity to win the ball back and thrive in Bielsa’s relentless style of play.

In other news, Leeds are set to miss out on one rumoured transfer target. Find out who it is here.

Lynn McConnell29-Apr-2002New Zealanders are following State domestic cricket, in their thousands! The first-class game and its one-day variation are still of intense interest to cricket lovers in this country, a fact revealed from traffic through CricInfo, and its New Zealand site, the official site of New Zealand Cricket, nzcricket.co.nz.The Christchurch-based branch of the world’s busiest sports site, CricInfo.com, recorded a 38.7% increase in traffic for State Shield and State Championship cricket over the past summer.A total of 5,398,864 page impressions were made during the summer on State matches. The greatest increase in public interest was in the State Shield one-day competition where figures increased by 79.4% with 1,942,638 page impressions. This was despite the fact that there were two fewer playing days than last season due to a reduction in size of the State Shield finals.New Zealand Cricket chief executive Martin Snedden said: “New Zealand Cricket is delighted with the increasing amount of traffic to our web site and the interest it has promoted, particularly in State Domestic Cricket this season.”Cricket enthusiasts are obviously impressed with the service the site provides and this is reflected in the statistics.”It’s another example of the growing number of people who are becoming interested and enthusiastic about the game of cricket,” he said.CricInfo regional general manager Adrian Motherway said: “I am delighted with the amazing growth we have experienced this past summer in New Zealand.”The cricket loving public of New Zealand have made us an integral part of the cricket scene in a few short years. Pakistan post biggest victory against Kiwis

Pakistan stamped their allround superiority over New Zealand when they won by an innings and 324 runs in the first cricket Test with two days to spare at the Gaddafi Stadium Friday

Samiul Hasan04-May-2002Pakistan stamped their allround superiority over New Zealand when they won by an innings and 324 runs in the first cricket Test with two days to spare at the Gaddafi Stadium Friday.Paceman Shoaib Akhtar struck terror in the first innings when he finished with career-best figures of six for 11.In the second innings, Danish Kaneria grabbed his fourth five-wicket haul in eighth Test on way to capturing five for 110 to help Pakistan record their biggest victory. Their previous was by an innings and 264 runs over Bangladesh at Multan last year. While it was the fifth biggest margin of victory in the history of Test cricket, it was New Zealand’s heaviest defeat. They had lost by an innings and 322 runs against the West Indies at Wellington in 1993-94.Interestingly, it was also Pakistan’s first victory at the cricket headquarters in Lahore for 12 years. Their previous win was also against New Zealand in 1990-91.New Zealand had resumed on the third day at 58 for six in reply to Pakistan’s 643. Their first innings lasted less than an hour when they were shot out for 73, their second lowest score against Pakistan since they scored 70 in 1955-56 at Dhaka.Forced to follow on and trailing Pakistan by 570 runs, New Zealand were sent packing in the final over of the day’s play for 246. The visitors lost their last seven wickets for 60 runs.Pakistan were simply outstanding in this Test. Their performance showed that the team was now playing and settling down as a winning unit.If it was Man-of-the-Match Inzamam-ul-Haq who carried the innings on his shoulder with a strokeful 329, the bowling honours were shared by pace and spin combination of Shoaib and Kaneira. In fact, when Shoaib went out of commission from New Zealand’s second innings with a swollen ankle, Kaneira rose to the occasion in the second innings.Pakistan’s fielding, however, remained unimpressive and unexpectedly it was Rashid Latif who missed three chances. But when Waqar Younis left the field and captaincy came to Rashid, he marshalled his troops for a brief period and was instrumental in triggering the middle-order collapse. When Rashid took over thehelm of affairs, New Zealand were cruising along at 180 for three and were in with a chance to take the match into the fourth day. But Rashid made changes in the field and made Danish and Abdul Razzaq bowl according to his requirements. The results were immediate when Chris Harris’ 104-minute defiance ended as Razzaq pinned him in front of the wickets. Harris was earlier dropped twice by Rashid in a space of three runs and the unluckly bowler on both the occasions was Danish.Nevertheless, Harris’s departure opened all floodgates as Danish turned almost unplayable. After the dropped catches, Danish lifted himself and showed his magic by baffling Craig McMillan with a googly that left the batsman stranded in front of the wickets.Danish was on a hat trick when he disturbed the symmetry of Robbie Hart’s stumps with another googly that went through the bat and pad of the New Zealand wicketkeeper. Daniel Vettori denied Danish the feat before falling to Razzaq who finished with two for 47.The leg spinner was in action again when he picked the prized scalp of Stephen Fleming who fought a lone battle while scoring a sedate 66. Fleming mistimed a pull and was held by substitute Mohammad Sami.Fleming held the fort for 19 minutes over three hours during which he received 124 balls. His innings included nine exquisitely timed boundaries. When Fleming reached 24, he became New Zealand’s third batsman to complete 4,000 runs. The list is headed by Martin Crowe, who scored 5,444 runs from 77 Tests, and John Wright who took 82 Tests to score 5,334 runs. It was Fleming’s 33rd half century in 69th Test. With the dismissal of Fleming, it was just a matter of when the innings would close. Kaneira completed his five-wicket haul when he foxed Daryl Tuffey in the air who edged it to Shoaib Malik who held two catches as Shoaib Akhtar’s substitute.Besides Fleming, Lou Vincent also showed some resilience and played cracking shots before becoming Kaneira’s first victim. He edged it to Rashid who ended up with three catches. Vincent scored 57, his third half century in seven Tests. He batted for 111 minutes and punched seven boundaries.Together with opener Mark Richardson (32), Vincent added 66 runs while Fleming and Harris put on 85 runs from 159 balls.Earlier, Shoaib Akhtar continued from where he had left on Thursday when he fired in sizzling yorkers to account for Brooke Walker and Chris Martin. Brooke was adjudged leg before while Martin’s middle stump was uprooted. Both the teams now travel to Karachi Monday where the second and last Test begins May 8.

Fee revealed for Gers’ Morelos

A Bola has revealed that Glasgow Rangers and Porto are close to agreeing a fee of €17m (£14.6m) for the transfer of Alfredo Morelos.

The Lowdown: Morelos heavily linked with move

Colombia international Morelos has been heavily linked with a move to the Portuguese outfit.

The 25-year-old is said to have already agreed personal terms ahead of a move (Antena 1), and now there has been an update in regards to an agreement between the clubs.

The Latest: Fee said to be close

Now, this report has revealed how much the Gers could receive from the sale of Morelos.

The fee would include a down-payment of €12m (£10.3m), with €5m (£4.3m) available to the Gers in add-ons.

The Verdict: Cheap

Of course, Steven Gerrard, Ross Wilson and the rest of the Gers hierarchy will not want to see Morelos leave the club. He has scored 94 goals in 182 matches for them (Transfermarkt), and has often been their most important player.

However, having previously stated that he wants to play in a more competitive league (Goal.com), it will come as little surprise that he could now move on.

When he does go, though, the Gers must make sure they get a good deal – and in this case, it feels as though they could be left a little short-handed.

It had previously been stated they were looking for £20m last summer (The Daily Mail) for his services. Now, it seems they will barely get half of that as a down-payment, and there is no guarantee Morelos will match the requirements needed for the Gers to get the add-ons either. The 55-time Scottish champions should really be looking for more than what is being reported.

In other news, Rangers fans were delighted by news on this four-goal ace.
