وعلق خان على مستقبل كارفاليو في تصريحات لشبكة “ذا أثلتيك” الأمريكية، وقال: “حقًا أحب فابيو، لاعب مهم بالنسبة لنا، خرج من أكاديمية النادي وكنا نحب أن نبقيه”.

وأضاف: “لكننا عقدنا صفقة هي الأفضل بالنسبة للنادي ومنذ تلك الاتفاقية، كان كارفاليو ملتزمًا وساعدنا في الصعود مرة أخرى إلى الدوري الإنجليزي”.

وأتم تصريحاته: “لقد قام كارفاليو مع ماركو سيلفا (المدرب) بعمل جيد طوال الموسم، كان فابيو رائعًا بالنسبة لنا، ورحيله خسارة كبيرة لنا، لكننا قمنا بصفقة جيدة، والحصول على البديل المناسب للتأكد من تعويضه في المستقبل”.

The Verdict: Morelos linked with move

Morelos, who is currently at the Copa America with Colombia, has been heavily linked with a move to Porto this summer.

There have even been reports that the £10.8m-valued (Transfermarkt) 25-year-old has agreed terms with the Portuguese outfit (Antena 1) as the clubs try to sort out a transfer fee.

The Latest: Candeias urges move

Speaking about Morelos’ future, Candeias urged him to depart the 55-time Scottish champions. He said (via The Scottish Sun):

“He loves Rangers and it’s a fantastic club, but after four years I think he’s done his job. He will always be an idol. 

“I think he wants to prove to himself he can now compete and shine at another club. 

“Porto is ideal for him as there are so many attractions. 

“They have direct access to the Champions League and there are the other Colombians in the squad. I think it will also help him play for the national team. 

“I see a change in motivation. I’ve been getting involved with him, telling him that I’m waiting to see him at Porto.”

The Verdict: Time to go?

Morelos has been an inspired signing for the Gers ever since he made the move to Glasgow in 2017. In 182 games for the club, he has found the net 94 times (Transfermarkt), and he has often been the man to whom his manager Steven Gerrard and his teammates have looked to lead them to victory.

However, as Candeias says, his work at Ibrox may be done. Last season, the Gers won the Premiership for the first time in 10 years – it will be hard for Morelos to ever top that if he stays at Rangers. Porto would provide a logical next step in his career.

The Ibrox outfit were interested in the winger before he made the move to Fener from Queen’s Park Rangers in January (Football Insider via completesports.com).

However, after just 19 appearances for the 28-time Turkish champions (Transfermarkt), he could be on the move again, and the Gers are once again in pursuit of the winger (Fotospor).

The Latest: Fener set asking price

Takvim (via Inside Futbol) reported that Fenerbahce have set their asking price for Osayi-Samuel.

The Turkish outlet claimed that the Istanbul club are looking for €5m (£4.3m) to part ways with the 23-year-old.

The Verdict: Negotiate

Osayi-Samuel showed at QPR that he has plenty of ability – he netted five goals and provided nine assists in 37 Championship matches during the 2019/20 campaign and was labelled “outstanding” by former QPR and Gers boss Mark Warburton after a resounding win over Cardiff (kilburntimes.co.uk).

He has found life difficult at Fenerbahce, though, managing just one goal and one assist during his time there, so the £4.3m price tag could be a bit steep. However, if Ross Wilson is able to negotiate and shave a bit off that figure, Osayi-Samuel may just be worth a punt for the 55-time Scottish champions.

The county’s chief benefactor is Sri-Lankan born Chris Ondaatje, retired financier and author, whose generosity and devotion to the West Country club has helped establish their thriving School of Excellence, housed beneath the Ondaajte Pavilion. This academy has been granted regional status by the England and Wales Cricket Board, and makes Somerset County Cricket Club responsible for the development of cricket throughout the South-West region.

Mr Ondaatje has sponsored the clash between Somerset and their visitors, which was dubbed The Patron’s Salver Challenge Match. Before the game an engraved silver salver and three silver goblets were presented to Sri Lanka team manager Chandra Schaffter, and a similar presentation was made to Somerset President Michael Hill. The Somerset silverware will be housed permanently in the Somerset Cricket Museum, housed in an award-winning restored medieval barn behind the ground.Mr Ondaatje said: `It is really fantastic to be here on this wonderful day and to have had the opportunity to sponsor this first Patron’s Trophy match between Sri Lanka and Somerset. I am certain that this will mark the start of a thrilling one-day series in England.’After an excellent day’s cricket, with the threatened rain thankfully staying away, Somerset beat Sri Lanka by 63 runs.

O Fluminense está sim correndo atrás de seus direitos em relação ao Maracanã. O Tricolor, que assinou um contrato de 35 anos com oComplexo Maracanã Entretenimento SA em 2013, seu reunirá com o consórcio nesta segunda-feira para buscar entender a atual situação do estádio.

O contrato, assinado na gestão do presidente Peter Siemsen, dá o direito ao Fluminense de atuar no Maracanã sem custos e com a reserva de 43 mil lugares ao clube. O restante dos valores, seja de bilheteria, bares e camarotes, por exemplo, são arrecadados pelo consórcio no acordo.
