According to Football Insider’s Monday night development, Huddersfield are ‘in talks’ with Norwich over a loan move for Sinani, who spent last season at Belgian side Waasland-Beveren.

His current Canaries deal expires in the summer of 2023, with a recruitment source telling Football Insider that another temporary deal is now in the works.

The Verdict: Permanent better?

It doesn’t look as though Sinani would have any chance of enjoying playing time for Norwich in 2021/22, so this could be a good thing for everyone concerned.

The player himself would benefit from regular starts in the Championship, while Huddersfield would hope he can add quality in the middle of the park – he has scored six goals in 34 appearances for Luxembourg, after all.

Should Sinani thrive there however, a permanent deal must surely be talked about further down the line, allowing Norwich to receive a fee for a player who clearly has no future at the club.
