Guerrero fez o décimo terceiro gol dele na temporada, em 20 partidas. No ano passado, ele fez 18 gols, no seu melhor ano de Flamengo, em termos de números.

علّق المدير الفني لفريق أياكس الهولندي ألفريد شرودر على اهتمام مانشستر يونايتد بالثنائي يوريان تيمبر وأنتوني، في موسم الانتقالات الصيفي الحالي.

ولم يبرم مانشستر يونايتد أي صفقة في فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية، بينما يسعى المدير الفني الجديد للشياطين الحمر إريك تين هاج إلى تعزيز صفوف الفريق.

وذكرت تقارير صحفية في الفترة الأخيرة أن تين هاج يتطلع إلى الظفر بخدمات اثنين من فريقه السابق، أياكس، وهما تيمبر وأنتوني.

وقال شرودر في تصريحات نشرها الصحفي فابريزيو رومانو: “لقد تحدثت مع تيمبر، وأفترض أنه سيظل في أياكس، هو رجل ذكي ويعرف ما هو الأفضل لنفسه، نعتقد أن مهتمه في أياكس لم تنتهِ بعد”.

Habibul Bashar, the former Bangladesh captain, has said he was prompted to join the ICL because of the lack of respect and importance shown to him by the team management. He has also criticized the Bangladesh board’s decision to axe several senior players at the same time (after the 2007 World Cup) and said he hoped the Indian board would not do the same.”Towards the end of my international career, I became a lonely figure. I didn’t command the same respect from the guys,” he was quoted as saying in the Times of India. “I would sit alone in the dressing room. During critical situations, nobody would come to me for any suggestion, though I was the senior-most guy. A feeling crept in that you were no longer required.”Asked whether he discussed this with Mohammad Ashraful, his successor as captain, Bashar said he didn’t feel comfortable speaking about it with a junior cricketer. “More than Ashraful, it is coach Jamie Siddons whose behaviour amazed me,” Bashar said. “I have never said a single word against him in the media and this man is not leaving a single opportunity to take a dig at somebody who has played 99% of Bangladesh’s Test matches.”The composition of the Bangladesh team underwent a radical change after senior players including Bashar, Javed Omar and Mohammed Rafique lost their place in the one-day side soon after the 2007 World Cup. “The trouble started after the India series that followed the World Cup. Suddenly, the board and the team management went for a complete overhaul,” Bashar said. “Introducing five or six juniors simultaneously at the international level is foolish. I sincerely hope the BCCI uses the ‘phase-out policy’ in a better way than the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).”Bashar said he would have retired from international cricket in any case but was hurt about being banned for ten years by his cricket board. “I know they (the BCB) are dependent on Indian sponsors and the Indian board. I can’t blame them for their stand. It’s just that having played so many years for the country, the term ‘banned Habibul Bashar’ really hurts.”Bashar was named the captain of the ICL team Dhaka Warriors, who start their campaign on 11th October.

An update has emerged on Watford midfielder Will Hughes, regarding his transfer to Crystal Palace.

According to The Athletic, Crystal Palace are finalising a deal to sign Watford midfielder Will Hughes for a fee that could rise to £10m.

The report claims that the ex-Derby man is now set to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with the Eagles before being officially unveiled as the club’s latest signing.

Over the moon

Palace boss Patrick Vieira will be over the moon with this news as it means that his fifth senior outfield signing is close to being completed. The club have already brought in Joachim Andersen, Marc Guehi, Michael Olise and Conor Gallagher (loan), with Hughes on the verge of joining them at Selhurst Park ahead of next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Vieria will be buzzing because it is a much-needed reinforcement to his midfield options heading into the rest of the season. Gallagher, James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic are currently the only out-and-out central midfield options he has available, with Jairo Riedewald and Chiekhou Kouyate being used in a variety of positions across the pitch.

This means that bringing in Hughes could offer the French head coach more variety in his team selections and allow him to rest players when needed. For example, if one of the starting midfielders suffer an injury or suspension, he can bring Hughes in – or whoever the Watford man displaces – and that allows Kouyate and Riedewald to be used elsewhere if there are other gaps to fill.

In the Championship last season, Hughes averaged an impressive SofaScore rating of 6.98 in 30 appearances as the Hornets finished second in the league and secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.

He averaged 3.1 interceptions and tackles combined per game in the second tier, showing that he has a knack for winning the ball back in the middle of the park.

Vieira would love having a player like Hughes in the middle of the park as his industry and defensive work rate could allow the attacking players more freedom to go and do what they do best.

The Englishman would work his socks off in the engine room to then give the ball to the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Christian Benteke to score the goals to win matches for Palace.

Bernardo Guimarães, que mora em Porto Alegre, se emocionou durante o encontro e comentou ao site do clube sobre a experiência que teve.

An update has emerged on Crystal Palace’s plans to sign a striker before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

What’s the talk?

According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace have narrowed their striker search down to two names; Eddie Nketiah and Odsonne Edouard.

The report claims that Palace are keen on a deal for the latter, who is valued at around £15m by his current club Celtic. Everton and Brighton also hold an interest in the French centre-forward.

Get it done

Steve Parish must sanction a £15m deal for Edouard before Tuesday’s transfer deadline as the Celtic attacker could be an excellent addition to Patrick Vieira’s squad, more so than Arsenal’s Nketiah would be.

Edouard is in form, playing regularly, and has proven that he can score can goals regularly at a decent level – in the Europa League and Champions League. He has seven goals in his last 15 starts across the two European competitions, whilst he also found the back of the net 16 times in 23 Scottish Premiership starts in the 2020/21 campaign – with two goals and one assist in three starts this term.

Former Hoops forward Frank McGarvey hailed the 23-year-old last year and compared him to ex-Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas. He said:

“I just love watching Edouard. He has that bit of magic in his feet, and he reminds me of Charlie Nicholas.

“You just know if he gets the ball just outside of the box the other team are in trouble. Edouard has that ability to produce something out of nothing because he has such quick feet.

“I think someone will come in this summer and put £20million on the table for him. You can’t blame Celtic for taking it, especially in the current climate.

“I’ll be sorry to see him go because he is an outstanding footballer. His temperament and his ability are genuinely top class.”

This shows the level of quality Edouard has been displaying in Scotland and, along with his goalscoring statistics, suggests that he could potentially be a superb signing for Palace if he can adapt to Premier League football.

Nketiah, meanwhile, is yet to show that he can produce consistently at senior level. The 22-year-old has scored 11 goals in 70 games across the Premier League, Europa League and Championship for Arsenal and Leeds (loan) during his career. Last season, the Englishman scored three Premier League goals in 17 games as he averaged a dismal WhoScored rating of 6.33.

This, along with Edouard’s impressive resume, is why Parish must sanction a £15m deal for the Celtic beast to bolster Vieira’s squad.

Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, has said that only a no-objection certificate from the England board stands in the way of Kevin Pietersen participating in the Twenty20 tournament next season.”I am very keen for Kevin to take part in the IPL,” Modi said in an exclusive interview to Cricinfo.TV. “He has already agreed to be part of it, we just need an NOC from the ECB.”The England board is believed to have made its players available for 14 days of the IPL as part of a deal in which 20 IPL players will be released for the ECB’s proposed Twenty20 league.”The ECB have agreed in principle to release the players for the next season. It has, of course, strings attached,” he said. “We are evaluating those strings, whether we can agree to it or not.
