A porcentagem foi a condição que o time carioca impôs para liberar o goleiro, que rescindiu no último final de semana. Portanto, caso Paulo Victor seja vendido pelo Grêmio, metade do valor deverá ser repassado ao Flamengo.

O arqueiro deve ser apresentado nas próximas horas e chega ao elenco gaúcho como alternativa para Marcelo Grohe, que ocupa a posição como titular. Apesar de ter Léo e Bruno Grassi, a diretoria optou pela contratação de um goleiro mais experiente.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams has revealed that he was offered the chance to become Ralph Hasenhuttl’s assistant at Southampton when Danny Rohl left in 2019.

Adams did not go into detail about why the move ended up failing, with Kelvin Davis eventually being named as one of Hasenhuttl’s assistants.

He told Sky Sports, via The Evening Standard:

“Ralph called me a couple of years ago… I’d just had a knee operation.”His assistant had just left and he called me and asked me to give him a hand at Southampton.” Relief

Southampton fans will surely be feeling a sense of relief after reading these quotes from Adams. The appointment of Adams as assistant manager at the club could have been a major blunder, given his record as a coach throughout his career since his illustrious playing days ended

Adams managed Wycombe for 50 games in the early 2000’s and won 1.03 points per game on average. He then moved on to Southampton’s rivals Portsmouth, where he managed 0.86 points per game across 21 matches, which may have endeared him to Saints fans at the time. His best spell came as manager of Azerbaijan side FK Qabala, where he averaged 1.50 points per game across 44 matches.

His most recent spell as a head coach, however, was a disaster as he was sacked by Granada in 2017 after failing to pick up a single point from seven La Liga games. He has not had a recognised coaching or management role since his departure from the Spanish outfit.

Although he would not have come in to be the outright head coach, his appalling record as a manager suggests that he may have been a poor appointment as an assistant at St. Mary’s. His coaching methods failed to help him pick up results at several of the clubs he managed and there is nothing to suggest that his efforts would have improved Southampton’s Premier League performances.

Therefore, Hasenhuttl avoided a potential blunder by eventually opting to go with Davis ahead of Adams. Fans will be delighted that they went with an in-house appointment and did not bring Adams in.

Ange Postecoglou has been without a number of players in recent weeks, with Dembele one of the first on the injury list after going off during a pre-season game with Bristol City back in July.

The likes of Christopher Jullien, Greg Taylor, Callum McGregor, Kyogo Furuhashi, Mikey Johnston, James Forrest and Giorgos Giakoumakis have also been missing, some long-term and others short-term.

The Hoops have struggled for wins as a result, winning just two of their last seven fixtures in all competitions.

The Verdict: Worrying times

With no positive update on Dembele, it could still be a while until we see the teenager in competitive action under Postecoglou.

The Hoops boss has had to rely heavily on Jota and Liel Abada in recent weeks, so having Dembele back fit as soon as possible would only help Celtic going forward.

However, it doesn’t appear as if Dembele will be featuring anytime soon, upsetting news for both the player and Celtic as more and more players join the absentee list.

Ijaz Butt, the PCB chairman, has said it will be very difficult, following the Lahore terror strikes, to convince any team to tour Pakistan in the immediate future unless the security situation improves. He said the government, not the PCB, was answerable for the lapses that led to Tuesday’s attack but, as far as he knew, the security provided to Sri Lanka was the same as for all touring teams.”How can we force them to play in Pakistan if the security situation doesn’t improve,” Butt said. “It has earned Pakistan a bad name in the international community. It looks grim for at least six to twelve months. It was the most unfortunate thing that could have happened.”The shootout happened while the players were making their way to the Gaddafi Stadium for the third day of the second Test. Five Sri Lankan players and the assistant coach Paul Farbrace were injured when the terrorists targeted the team bus. وأتم: “الأهلي يحتاج إلى مدير رياضي صاحب خبرات، ممكن تفوز بقوة الدفع وتاريخك الكبير ولكن سيأتي عليك وقت وستقع، أزمة الأهلي فنية بحتة، لا يوجد فريق في العالم لا يحدث له هبوط في المستوى، لا تسمعوا كلام الخونة والهاربين، مشكلة الأهلي فنية بحتة”.

Leeds United have been name-checked as one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Arsenal starlet Eddie Nketiah.

What’s the story?

According to journalist Ekrem Konur on Twitter, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in the race to sign the England under-21 international, with the likes of Brentford and Aston Villa also mentioned.

He added that Nketiah wants to leave the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window due to a lack of game-time, and is keen for more first team football elsewhere.

While he may only have played half a season under Bielsa – he featured just 19 times (mostly off the bench) and scored five goals for the Whites – the £13m-rated forward made a real impression at Elland Road during a loan spell in 2019/20, not least with the manager himself.

The Argentine said of the 22-year-old: “He’s a specialist great player with a lot of resources and our play is a collective way of playing and one player needs to adapt to this style.

“For this reason when we felt he was part of the team we thought that we were going to feel the same and that he would continue with us. He didn’t take this decision but he is a great player, an excellent professional and he had very good behaviour, he is a gentleman in every sense.”

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has also waxed lyrical about Nketiah, claiming that his style of play is very much reminiscent of Jermain Defoe.

The 46-year-old said: “He reminds me of another Jermain Defoe and look at how well he did at West Ham. He’s very much that similar sort of player. He plays off the shoulder, very dangerous in the box. He’s a player you can’t take your eyes off because his movement’s so good.”

Crucially, despite the lack of consistent game-time at Elland Road, Nketiah left Leeds clearly feeling like he learned a lot in Yorkshire, and he paid tribute to Bielsa in particular after his recall.

The striker said: “I’m grateful for my time at Leeds. Bielsa is a very demanding manager, so every day I was pushing myself to the limit in training, and I feel that mentality has stuck with me at Arsenal, to always give my all in training and in matches.

“I also learned a lot defensively off the ball with the way Leeds play, I learned a lot about the importance of pressing from the front, defending from the front and the impact it can have to the team and the way we play.

“I definitely learned a lot, I put myself out of my comfort zone which was a good thing for me, it’s made me a lot stronger mentally and has improved me as a player. I’m grateful for my time there.”

Given the recent injury to Patrick Bamford and the lack of cover up front at Leeds, a fresh move for Nketiah would surely have fans buzzing.

Desta forma, os catalães terão que enviar a proposta com uma nova data. De acordo com o contrato da venda do atacante, o Barça pode realizar o jogo enquanto Neymar tiver contrato com o clube espanhol, ou seja, até 30 de junho de 2021.

Caso o segundo amistoso não aconteça, o Barcelona terá que pagar 4,5 milhões de euros (R$ 16,3 milhões).

Uma das cláusulas referentes ao amistoso obriga Neymar a estar em campo, assim como o time principal do Barcelona. Se o camisa 11 for vendido (segundo o blogueiro Marcelo Beckler, o atacante irá se transferir para o PSG), o jogo não acontece e os espanhóis terão que desembolsar o valor da multa.

Diferentemente da primeira tratativa, que ocorreu em abril de 2016, o Santos não quer mandar a partida na Vila Belmiro. A diretoria acredita que pode arrecadar mais se realizar o amistoso em um estádio de grande capacidade e não necessariamente no estado de São Paulo.
