Chelsea Eyeing Move For £75-A-Week Milinkovic-Savic

Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to a fresh transfer rumour.

Who is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic?

The 28-year-old has been arguably one of Serie A's outstanding midfielders in recent years, standing out as a dominant presence for Lazio in the middle of the park. The £75,000-a-week star has now scored 69 goals and registered 59 assists for the Italian giants, coming in a total of 341 appearances, and he is also a 43-cap Serbia international, catching the eye at international level as well.

Milinkovic-Savic is a player who is right at the peak of his powers, and while Lazio will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of arguably their most prized asset, he is out of contract there next summer, at which point he would be allowed to leave on a free transfer, acting as a blow to them.

That situation could force them to sell him before the start of the 2023/24, considering this would be the last chance for them to receive a good amount of money for his signature.

Chelsea continue to look hard at new signings, with Real Madrid star Federico Valverde the latest to be player to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge – Moises Caicedo looks like the top Blues target currently – and it could be that they make a move for Milinkovic-Savic too.

Are Chelsea signing Milinkovic-Savic?

That's according to Il Tempo [via Sport Witness], who claim that Milinkovic-Savid has been offered to "half of Europe" by his agent, former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, but Lazio "won’t go below €30m (£25.7m)" when it comes to his price tag.

The Blues "have shown interest" in signing the Lazio ace, even though they are pursuing "other negotiations" currently, with the current situation believed to be "driving his fans crazy".

Milinkovic-Savic could be a fantastic option for Chelsea this summer, especially as it looks as though he could even be available on a cut-price deal. He is now a very experienced footballer, but still someone who is in the best years of his career, and his physical style means to could make a seamless move from Serie A to the Premier League.

He has been hailed as "one of the best" by ex-Blues manager Maurizio Sarri, who went on to add that he "really is a complete player with great quality", and his aforementioned goal and assist tally outlines the end product he could bring to Chelsea's midfield.

Last season, Conor Gallagher was the Blues' top-scoring central midfielder with just three goals in the Premier League, showing how goal-shy they were in the middle of the park, so Milinkovic-Savic could be such an attacking upgrade in that area of the pitch.

At 28, there is an argument to say that Mauricio Pochettino may possibly want to sign younger options, given the fact that the Serbian is only actually a year younger than Kovacic, but Chelsea should be able to get three or four years out of him before his peak years potentially drift by.

Aston Villa Eyeing Up "Monster" £49k-p/w Martinez Replacement

Aston Villa are plotting a swoop to bring Sevilla star Yassine Bounou to the Premier League, according to reports.

Who is Yassine Bounou?

Bounou or 'Bono' is a goalkeeper who currently plays his football at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, having permanently moved there back in 2020 following a successful loan spell from Girona, as per Transfermarkt, and despite not being Jose Luis Mendilibar’s official number one, he’s a regular feature of his first-team.

In La Liga last season, the 32-year-old started 26 out of the 38 games so was his largely manager’s first-choice between the sticks, but it’s not just his consistent and impressive performances for his club that have attracted interest, more so on the international stage.

Back at the 2022 World Cup, the Morrocan was one of the standout stars for his nation and he helped to guide them all the way to the semi-finals of the major tournament, most notably with his heroics in the decisive penalty shootout against Spain, where he saved two spot-kicks, and this form has grabbed the attention of Unai Emery in the Midlands.

Are Aston Villa signing Bounou?

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb (via Sport Witness), Bounou “could end up” at Aston Villa this summer. Sevilla’s shot-stopper “has said no” to a “rich offer” from Saudi Arabia as there could be a “crossover” with his side’s former boss.

Emery himself would personally “like to sign” the goalkeeper as a potential successor for Emiliano Martinez, who won't be short of suitors should he leave, but how much it would cost to prise him away from his club or if he would be open to the switch yet remains to be seen.

Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

Where would Bounou fit in under Emery?

Ever since Argentina were crowned World Cup winners last year, Martinez has been heavily linked with a departure to more high-profile clubs in the Premier League – including Manchester United and Chelsea – so Emery will need a replacement should he depart, and Bono could be the perfect successor.

Sevilla’s 6 foot 4 colossus, who pockets £49k-per-week, kept five clean sheets from 25 La Liga outings last season and made a total of 66 saves from 106 shots on target against, so he isn’t afraid to come out on the net and put his body on the line to clear the danger for his side.

He's also shone on the European stage, making “monster” saves, as dubbed by CBS reporter Ives Galarcep, on route to a Europa League winners medal, and that experience could be vital for Villa this season.

The Montreal native has an extremely strong range of passing having successfully completed 100% of his short-length dispatches and 97.7% of his medium-length attempts last season, so he clearly has an eye for picking out balls to his outfield players and attempting to start off moves from the back in the hope of creating chances.

Finally, Bono has not only previously been named the Goalkeeper of the Season but he will know exactly what it takes to compete and be successful at the required level having twice won the Europa League, so he could help to create the mentality needed to come out on top against more difficult opponents overseas.

Southampton: £30k-p/w "Mega Talent" Could Be Hojbjerg 2.0 At St Mary’s

Southampton have well and truly got the ball rolling in terms of their transfer activity this week with the signings of Shea Charles and Ryan Manning.

The pair arrived from Manchester City and Swansea City respectively, and follow in the steps of youngsters Derrick Abu and Josh McNamara in making the switch to St Mary's this summer.

Who are Southampton looking to sign?

The Saints are not finished there, however, as the Daily Mail reports they are considering a move for Hoffenheim winger Jacob Bruun Larsen ahead of kicking off their Championship campaign next month.

Southampton are said to view Larsen as a good option to replenish their squad in the wide positions after selling Mislav Orsic to Trabzonspor, on top of seeing Theo Walcott and Mohamed Elyounoussi depart as free agents.

Russell Martin's side are also expected to lose Romeo Lavia, Tino Livramento and captain James Ward-Prowse in the coming weeks, making it all the more important they appease supporters with more incoming activity.

Who is Hoffenheim winger Jacob Bruun Larsen?

In Larsen, Southampton would be signing a player described as a "mega talent" in waiting by Bundesliga writer Alex Chaffer following his emergence with Danish side Lyngby at the age of 16.

Borussia Dortmund won the race for the teenage talent's signature but, while he has earned six caps for Denmark and played 83 times in the Bundesliga, his career has not truly taken off – hence the links with a side in England's second tier.

Larsen spent the 2020/21 season on loan under Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht before returning to Hoffenheim, but he only started three times in the Bundesliga last time out due to injury issues.

However, the speedy winger – on wages of £30k-per-week, according to Capology – was back in action in the final stages of the season and a move to a new league could provide a platform to kick-start his career.

Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

With four goals in 25 Bundesliga matches when fully fit two seasons ago, Larsen averaged 0.44 goals per 90 minutes, as per FBref.

That is a better return than any Southampton player managed in the Premier League last season, with Carlos Alcaraz leading the way on 0.35 goals per 90.

Southampton also have a good record when it comes to signing Danish players from a German club, as was the case when spending around £15m to land Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in 2020.

Hojbjerg made over 100 Premier League appearances for Southampton across four seasons as a regular and was named captain in December 2018, only to have it stripped off him further down the line as he pushed for a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Like Larsen, Hojbjerg started off at a Danish club in Brondby before moving to Germany for spells with Bayern Munich, Augsburg and Schalke, the latter two on loan.

Hojbjerg was himself in need of a new challenge after his career started to stagnate at Bayern, which is also true of Larsen at Hoffenheim after four years at the club.

If Southampton do indeed make a move for the 24-year-old, they will be happy to get even half as much out of him as they did compatriot Hojbjerg.

West Ham In Advanced Talks Over £30m "Warrior"

West Ham United are in advanced talks over a deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, with the Irons likely to shell out a fee in the region of €35m (£30M), according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

What's the latest West Ham transfer news?

West Ham have now made it clear they would be interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, however the German has no desire to leave the Bundesliga champions this summer, so David Moyes may have to turn his attentions elsewhere.

According to Plettenberg, the Hammers have four other central midfield targets on their list, including Edson Alvarez, Sofyan Amrabat, Denis Zakaria and Gallagher, with a move for at least one of those players considered likely.

Speaking specifically about the Irons' pursuit of the Chelsea midfielder, the Sky Sports reporter said: "Talks are already well advanced with Gallagher. The fee would be between 25 and 35 million euros. At least one of the five candidates mentioned should come."

New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be an admirer of the Englishman, so it remains to be seen whether he is willing to sanction his departure this summer, and West Ham may face fierce competition for his signature from other Premier League clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the 23-year-old, while Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion are also thought to have him on their wanted list.

Given that the Hammers are in advanced talks to sign the England international, however, it appears as though they could be one of the clubs best-placed to secure his signature.

How good is Conor Gallagher?

It would be fair to say the Cobham academy graduate did not make the impression he would have liked to across 35 Premier League appearances last season, registering a total of just three goals and one assist.

However, during his time with Crystal Palace, when the central midfielder received much more regular game time, he managed to record eight goals and three assists in all competitions.

Not only has the Epsom-born midfielder demonstrated he has a lot to give in an attacking sense, he is also more than happy to pitch in defensively, ranking in the 96th percentile for blocks per 90 in the past year, when compared to his positional peers.

Football Scout Jacek Kulig has lauded the Chelsea ace as a "warrior", while Jermaine Jenas has praised him for his attacking prowess, saying: “I think he is a game-changer aswell Conor Gallagher. He’s the type of player that you bring on and he has an impact on the game. He presses, gets himself in the box and creates chances."

The midfielder has proven himself in the Premier League, but he is unlikely to receive much game time as he would like at Chelsea, given the Blues' heavy spending last season, bringing in Enzo Fernandez for a fee of €121m (£104m).

As such, it makes sense for Gallagher to seek pastures new at this stage of his career, and he could be a solid addition to Moyes' squad.

Everton Eyeing "Dangerous" 21 y/o Forward

Everton are thought to be pursuing a move to sign Ajax forward Brian Brobbey before the summer transfer deadline, according to the BBC.

What’s the latest Everton transfer news?

The Toffees have brought in two new players ahead of Sean Dyche’s first full season in charge, the first of which was full-back Ashley Young on a free transfer after he left Aston Villa.

Young has been joined at Goodison Park by winger Arnaut Danjuma, who has penned a season-long loan deal from Villarreal, and it appears as if a new forward is next on the agenda for the Toffees.

Almeria striker El Bilal Toure and Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto have emerged as potential targets, with Everton thought to be in pole position for the latter. Another player who appears to be of interest is Brobbey, an out-and-out striker sponsored by Nike.

Defender Michael Keane was talking about possible new signings after Tuesday's goalless pre-season draw at Bolton. Relayed by the BBC, he said:

"I don’t think it is easy, but I am sure they will be trying.

"I think that is what the club is aiming to do. I think you could look at the squad and get better in a lot of positions, but we had periods where we struggled for goals."

The report name-checks Toure and Gnonto as possible targets, and they say that the Toffees are continuing to pursue Brobbey.

brian-brobbey-ajax-premier-league-everton-transfers

Who is Brian Brobbey?

Brobbey is 21 years of age and has progressed through Ajax’s academy in recent years. He joined RB Leipzig back in 2021 but returned to Ajax a year later and has made a total of 76 senior appearances for the Dutch side. The forward has scored 27 times and registered seven assists, netting a senior career-best 13 goals in 32 Eredivisie games.

Former Dutch striker Pierre van Hooijdonk has praised the player in recent months, labelling him as “dangerous”.

"Because he is so fast and strong, he was very annoying for the defenders of PSV and dangerous for Ajax. The ball on the post, the ball in front. You can see from those running actions that he is a real striker.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has also waxed lyrical over Brobbey in the past 12 months, saying he “has everything”.

“I think he’s a great boy. He is a great talent and basically has everything. He is fast, strong and can finish well.”

He could well be an exciting addition for the Blues due to his impressive displays over the past 12 months. As per FBref, Brobbey ranks in the top 1% of forwards for touches in the penalty area and top 3% for shots on target and non-penalty xG.

Brobbey even has an eye for a pass, ranking in the top 15% for key passes and top 5% for expected assists, so he could help Everton in front of goal both in the short and long run, aiming to surpass a disappointing 34 goals in 38 Premier League games last season.

Harry Kane Latest: Man United Now Back In Race For Tottenham Star

Manchester United have been handed some good news this week when it comes to potentially landing Harry Kane, with Football Insider reporting that Spurs are preparing to sell the striker and it's brought the Red Devils back into the race.

How many goals has Harry Kane scored?

The 29-year-old was once more a key figure for Tottenham in 2022/23, as he played in every single Premier League game for the club. Not only that, but he hit a superb 30 goals along the way, with a further three assists. It meant that the England international had one of his best ever goal contribution tallies – bettered only in the last six seasons by his 2020/21 amount.

It showcases that the attacker is still at the very top of his game despite his age and is well capable of adding a hatful of goals to an attack, no matter how successful or ailing a side is.

There's been a long-standing interest from Man United in Kane, with the Red Devils keen to try and sort out a deal for him this summer. Whilst it looked as if a move could happen at one point, hopes had recently been dashed with the news that Spurs don't want to let him leave to a rival team in the top flight. It had paved the way for Bayern Munich to try and land Kane, but they too have yet to have a deal agreed for the striker.

United had seemingly moved on to other targets – they've been heavily linked with a transfer for Rasmus Hojlund, with personal terms already sorted over that move, although no deal has yet been confirmed. Talks are still being held over a potential transfer fee for the Atalanta man but PSG have also now launched a move to try and sign the youngster, placing a bid of their own today.

Are Manchester United signing Harry Kane?

Now, according to a report from Football Insider, there could be another twist in United's search for a striker. That's because Tottenham are now willing to let Kane leave this summer it seems if he refuses to sign a contract extension, rather than holding onto him.

It also adds that the forward himself actually prefers a move to Old Trafford over Bayern Munich – meaning if a fee could be sorted, he would likely jump ship to the Red Devils. The only remaining stumbling block is Spurs' insistence that they would not let him leave for a Premier League rival and would rather sell to the Bundesliga club – even if the player himself would rather stay in England and join United.

Kane stands out as one of the best strikers in Europe right now in terms of his goal rate, and it has also led to plenty of plaudits from players, coaches and pundits alike. Jurgen Klinsmann only a few months ago stated that the attacker is "exceptional" and added that he is the current "symbol of English football".

A bold statement, but one that shows how pivotal he has been for club, country and in the Premier League in general. To sign someone like the 29-year-old then would be a huge coup and a big piece of business – and if United can get a deal sorted, then it would instantly make them a hard team to beat next season.

Celtic: Rodgers has "golden moment" to sign "unbelievable" player

Celtic have been handed a big boost in their pursuit of Swiss midfielder Fabian Rieder, according to Dean Jones.

The midfielder is a key target for manager Brendan Rodgers this summer.

What is the latest news regarding Fabian Rieder?

The midfielder has attracted the interest of the Hoops this summer.

According to reports, the 21-year-old, who has an "unbelievable technical ability", has attracted the interest of several Bundesliga sides, with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg monitoring the midfielders situation. The report also states that Rieder's club Young Boys have put a £13m asking price on the youngster who has already managed an assist for the Pro League side this season in the clubs opening game. The Swiss midfielder has reportedly made Monchengladbach his preferred destination this summer should he depart his boyhood club.

Switzerland midfielder Fabian Rieder.

The Hoops have been handed a boost however, with Borussia Mönchengladbach director Roland Virkus revealing in an interview with Sky Sports (via the Scottish Sun) that the German side cannot afford to pay the asking price, and unless the situation changes they will not be completing a deal for the midfielder: "Fabian Rieder is a good player. But he costs over €10m. That's a board we can't handle. That the player is good and interesting, that we've dealt with him – that's clear. But Fabian Rieder is out of the question at the moment."

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, transfer insider Jones revealed that this is the "golden moment" for Celtic to make the move for the "exciting player" due to the problems Mönchengladbach face with the deal. The journalist also played down any real chance of a Hoops move for Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek: "The big fear around Rieder was that he could land at Gladbach, but that is being played down now, and that’s good news. I’ve spoken before about what an exciting player I think this would be for Celtic, so if they are going to make a move, this would be a golden moment to do so.

As for Donny van de Beek, he is still of interest, but there are offers from leagues he would feel better suited to, and I just get the impression they will struggle to make any real progress with him.”

Would Rieder be a good signing for Young Boys?

Rieder could be a real gem of a signing for the Bhoys.

The midfielder is a real attacking spark, managing nine goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances for Young Boys in the 2022/23 campaign, and those 20 goal contributions would make him the Scottish champions biggest attacking threat from the centre of the park, with the Bhoys closest competitor being Matt O'Riley who managed 15 last campaign.

The midfielder is also incredibly creative, with his 2.1 chances created per 90 last season a higher total than any Celtic player could manage, and that creative quality was only further showcased during the players bright U21 Euro's campaign, where he averaged 2.3 key passes per 90 as the side made it to the Quarter finals where they ultimately fell to Spain in extra-time.

Young Boys midfielder Fabian Rieder.

Should the Bhoys complete the transfer, manager Rodgers could have a real difference maker in the middle of the park who could form fantastic partnerships with the likes of O'Riley and new additions Odin Thiago Holm and Hyeok-kyu Kwon.

Aston Villa Could Sign Angel 2.0 With "Special" £13m Gem

Aston Villa have had a fair few cult figures grace the club over the previous 20 years, yet has anyone made as big an impact as striker Juan Pablo Angel?

The Colombian frontman joined the club from River Plate back in 2001, costing a club record fee of £9.5m, a staggering amount at the time.

He eventually made 205 appearances in all competitions for the Midlands side and netted an impressive return of 62 goals in that time, including bagging 23 goals in all competitions during the 2003/04 campaign.

Since his departure in 2007, the South American influence has remained at the club, with Unai Emery able to call on the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Emiliano Buendia and Jhon Duran in his bid for success.

The Spaniard could even add to his South American contingent, as Villa have shown interest in Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo.

Could Aston Villa sign Marcos Leonardo?

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Villa are one of the teams who have shown interest in the striker during the transfer window.

Nottingham Forest are also keen; however it appears as though AS Roma are the favourites to lure him to Europe.

Read the latest Aston Villa transfer news HERE…

With just a few weeks left of the window, Emery will need to act swiftly in order to secure his signature while swatting away the advances of Roma in the process, with the promising asset believed to be up for grabs for around €15m (£13m).

What could Marcos Leonardo offer Aston Villa?

Aside from Ollie Watkins, no Villa player scored more than seven goals throughout the entirety of the 2022/23 season and with their first Premier League fixture of the new campaign just around the corner, this needs to be rectified.

Leonardo may just have turned 20, yet he has shown a clear goal-scoring instinct during his spell with Brazilian side Santos since making his debut in 2020, scoring 47 goals across 149 games, a decent strike rate.

The youngster has already netted six goals in just 12 league matches during the 2023 season, grabbing two assists also while even creating two big chances and averaging 0.8 key passes per game, suggesting it isn’t only in front of goal where he is effective.

Nathan Joyes lauded the Brazilian as being a “special talent” and judging by his form for Santos, this praise is highly justified.

Santos'MarcosLeonardocelebrates after the match

It isn’t only for his club side where the 20-year-old is showcasing his abilities, as he was one of the bright sparks for Brazil during the recent U20 World Cup.

Leonardo scored five goals in five matches, although it wasn’t enough to power his country to glory, yet he ranked sixth across the whole tournament for overall Sofascore rating (7.44/10), second for goals and fourth for big chances created (three).

It was a stunning competition for the striker, and surely it won't be long before he makes his debut for the senior national side, especially considering his goal-scoring exploits at youth level.

Angel certainly paved the way for more South Americans to take a chance and join Villa and Emery must launch a move for the ‘special’ forward in the hopes of repeating the club's prior centre-forward masterclass from 2001.

Rangers Plot Move For £10k-p/w "Threat"

Glasgow Rangers are now turning their attention to signing a defender or two before the summer transfer window closes in just a few weeks.

Michael Beale has already made nine new signings so far, yet just two of them are defenders and given the major mix-up in the box that led to Kilmarnock scoring the winner during the opening 2023/24 Premiership fixture, this area is now a priority.

A recent update has emerged in their pursuit of a defender, with Beale diverting his attention to the English Championship…

Who could Rangers sign this summer?

The Gers showed interest in Jake Cooper back in January and they have kept tabs on him since 2018, when Steven Gerrard was in charge, suggesting that Beale knows the Millwall star rather well.

A fresh update from Football Insider has now claimed that Beale has now ‘set his sights’ on securing his signature before the end of the window.

Read the latest Rangers transfer news HERE…

The Englishman is heading into the final year of his current contract at the club and thus could potentially be lured north of the border for an affordable fee.

Could Jake Cooper improve Rangers?

Beale has five centre-backs to choose from, yet Ben Davies may not have a future at Ibrox.

The former Liverpool defender has been told that he is free to depart the Light Blues following just a year at the club.

2022/23 wasn’t exactly the season Davies had in mind upon joining the Gers last summer, as he ranked way down in 14th position across the squad for overall Sofascore match rating in the Premiership (6.94) while he ranked seventh for interceptions (0.8) and third for clearances (two) per game, failing to have the desired outcome that Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Beale expected.

Rangers defender Ben Davies.

Cooper, in comparison, ranked sixth in the Millwall squad for overall match rating, while also ranking fifth for interceptions (1.2) and first for clearances (3.1) per game, clearly suggesting that he could be an improvement on Davies this season.

It wasn’t just his defensive ability which has obviously caught Beale’s eye over the previous few months, but the fact he can also chip in with the odd goal and assist too.

Indeed, last term, Cooper registered six goal contributions – three goals and three assists – and during his spell in the Championship with the club, there has only been one season out of six where he has failed to score three goals.

It’s no wonder he was lauded as a “threat” by Paul Heckingbottom in 2022. Davies on the other hand, registered just one assist across 38 matches, failing to provide the same attacking threat as Cooper throughout the season.

The £10k-per-week centre-back may not be the marquee name that the supporters will want to see arrive at Ibrox in the coming weeks, yet he offers not only a wonderful defensive acumen but is also capable of posing as something of a weapon at set pieces.

Beale obviously knows all about him and with the opportunity to secure his signature on the cheap, it could be a smart investment by the 42-year-old.

Rangers: Beale Can Finally Replace Kent With £4.5m Dynamo At Ibrox

Glasgow Rangers have been busy throughout the summer transfer window as they have added nine new signings to bolster Michael Beale's squad.

Who have Rangers signed this summer?

The Light Blues have brought in Leon Balogun, Sam Lammers, Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jose Cifuentes, and Jack Butland on permanent deals.

Forward Abdallah Sima has also joined on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion to strengthen the manager's arsenal.

Read the latest Rangers transfer news HERE…

This has come after the Scottish giants failed to secure a single piece of silverware under Giovanni van Bronckhorst or Beale during the 2022/23 campaign.

However, the current Gers head coach is not satisfied with his current attacking options, despite a raft of arrivals in that area of the pitch, as he confirmed on Saturday that a player "like" former Rangers winger Ryan Kent is needed before the window slams shut at the start of next month.

Who could replace Kent at Rangers?

Beale could finally replace the English forward, who joined Turkish side Fenerbahce on a free transfer earlier this summer, by securing a deal for Honduras international Luis Palma.

The Aris Thessaloniki attacker was linked with the Gers during the off-season and is reportedly available for a fee within the region of £4.5m, as he still has three years left to run on his current contract with the Greek outfit.

Palma is a versatile winger who can play out wide on the left or in central positions and his form in Greece suggests that he has the quality to be an excellent replacement for Kent, as well as a possible upgrade in terms of what he is able to offer as a goalscorer.

Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent.

Last season, the former Light Blues star averaged a Sofascore rating of 7.06 across 29 Scottish Premiership outings and contributed with three goals and eight assists.

That came after the former Liverpool prospect produced two goals and eight assists over 26 top-flight matches for the club during the 2021/22 campaign, which shows that he maintained a similar level of form over his last two years in Scotland.

Palma, on the other hand, is coming off the back of an impressive season with Aris.

The 23-year-old magician averaged a Sofascore rating of 7.12 over 29 league games and chipped in with 11 goals and four assists, whilst Fashion Sakala (12) was the only winger with more league goals for the Gers last term and he has since left the club.

This means that he was directly involved in four more goals than Kent and averaged a better Sofascore rating, which suggests that his general play was of a higher standard than the now-Fenerbahce man's.

Palma, who was praised for his “brilliant” goal contributions by agent Paulo Hernandez, has also started this season in fine form with two goals in three Europa Conference League qualifiers, which shows that the talented hotshot can also perform on the European stage – albeit he is yet to prove himself in the Champions League.

Therefore, Beale could finally replace Kent by signing the Honduras dynamo as his statistics for Aris suggest that the ability is there for him to offer a consistent threat as a scorer and creator of goals from a left wing position.
