Com problemas financeiros e dificuldade nos gastos, o Botafogo terá que se reinventar para contratar jogadores ao elenco. Durante a parada para a Copa América e a pausa nas competições oficiais, é esperado que o Alvinegro movimente o mercado, seja com a saída de atletas pouco utilizados pelo treinador Eduardo Barroca ou com a chegada de novos nomes.

Em relação às saídas, dois nomes aparecem com mais força. Gustavo Ferrareis, emprestado pelo Internacional até o fim do ano, e Leonardo Valencia, com uma renovação de contrato automática que dura até 2020, não caíram nas graças de Eduardo Barroca e chegaram a não ser relacionados para algumas partidas no decorrer do Brasileirão. O Alvinegro, inclusive, cogita encerrar a cessão do meia brasileiro, já que nenhuma proposta oficial chegou ao Colorado.

No início do ano, a Universidad do Chile perguntou sobre Leonardo Valencia, mas o Botafogo não mostrou interesse nas conversas à época. Há cerca de um mês, a imprensa chilena relatou que a equipe voltou a ter o meio-campista no radar e a diretoria do Botafogo aparentou estar disposta ao ouvir alguma proposta, contanto que o time estrangeiro colocasse um atacante na conversa.

Desde lá, porém, o Botafogo já supriu a carência no setor de ataque. A chegada de Victor Rangel representa menos um item na ‘lista’ de intertemporada de Eduardo Barroca. Com esta contratação, o treinador ganhou mais uma opção para a vaga atualmente ocupada por Diego Souza no elenco. Portanto, o clube de General Severiano, atualmente, procura jogadores para o meio.

A procura se dá justamente nas duas vagas que podem deixadas por Leonardo Valencia e Gustavo Ferrareis, atletas que podem atuar pelo centro ou pelo lado do meio-campo ou setor ofensivo. O Botafogo tentou sondar a situação de Marlone, mas o Goiás não se mostrou disposto a ouvir o meio-campista. Desta forma, a procura por um meia e um extremo continua pelas bandas do Estádio Nilton Santos.

Em relação às saídas, o jovem Glauber foi negociado com o futebol árabe por R$ 3 milhões para ajudar no pagamento de salários. Por conta da dificuldade financeira, outro jogador, se uma proposta positiva neste sentido chegar, pode ser negociado. Por outro lado, a diretoria do clube permanece de olho nas oportunidades de mercado – como, por exemplo, o que aconteceu com Victor Rangel: um jogador que veio sem custos e com baixos salários.

Sem grandes emoções: esse foi o resumo do confronto entre São Paulo e Bahia, neste domingo, pela 5ª rodada do Brasileiro. Para a decepção dos mais de 40 mil presentes no Morumbi, os tricolores protagonizaram um jogo morno e não saíram do zero a zero. O maior destaque ficou por conta da lesão de Liziero, que voltou a torcer o tornozelo, e a expulsão de Toró com ajuda do VAR.

Após entorse no tornozelo em janeiro, e estiramento na coxa em abril, dessa vez Liziero tomou um pisão de Gregore em disputa de bola e torceu o tornozelo direito. O jogador teve que ser substituído e deixou o gramado chorando, e o tamanho do inchaço na torção assustou o torcedor durante a transmissão.

PRIMEIRO TEMPO MORNO
Mesmo tendo a maior posse de bola, o São Paulo não conseguiu levar perigo ao gol do Bahia. A melhor oportunidade foi com Toró, que ficou cara a cara com o goleiro Douglas e viu o arqueiro fazer grande defesa para salvar o Bahia. O Tricolor de Aço chegava nos contra-ataques, e Gilberto quase abriu o placar num chute rasteiro perigoso que passou à esquerda da trave de Tiago Volpi.

TRIO DE ATAQUE DA COTIA
Na volta do intervalo, Cuca lançou Helinho no lugar de Alexandre Pato, deixando em campo o trio de ataque formado na base são-paulina: Toró, Helinho e Antony. A mudança surtiu efeito e o São Paulo cresceu no jogo, arriscando mais no gol e fazendo o goleiro Douglas trabalhar. A crescente são-paulina foi interrompida aos 26 minutos, quando Toró deixou o pé no ombro do goleiro Douglas e foi expulso após consulta ao VAR.

BAHIA PRESSIONA NO FINAL
Com a vantagem numérica em campo, o Bahia passou a controlar as ações do jogo. O treinador Roger Machado lançou Fernandão na partida e o atacante infernizou a defesa do São Paulo. O camisa 21 chegou a perder uma chance de gol clara, ao arriscar um voleio na grande área, mas o chute saiu fraco, para alívio da torcida são-paulina.

كشفت تقارير صحفية إنجليزية، أن نجم فريق توتنهام هاري كين، أكد التزامه التام ناحية النادي اللندني حال عدم تمكن رحيله قبل بداية الموسم الجديد.

ومن المعروف أن الموسم الجديد من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز سينطلق يوم الجمعة المقبل، بمباراة بين فريقي مانشستر سيتي وبيرنلي.

وقدم بطل الدوري الألماني أكثر من عرض لحسم الصفقة، ولكن الرفض كان الرد القاطع من قِبل نادي توتنهام.

وتقدم بايرن ميونخ بعرض أخير لحسم صفقة صاحب الـ30 عامًًا، ولكن مسؤولي توتنهام أصروا على رفضهم ناحية مسألة بيع نجم الفريق.

ووفقًا لصحيفة “تليجراف” الإنجليزية، فإن هاري كين لا ينوي الرحيل عن صفوف توتنهام، ما لم يتمكن بايرن ميونخ من التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الجانب الإنجليزي قبل يوم الجمعة.

وأوضحت أن هاري كين يصر على أنه لن يترك توتنهام بمجرد بدء موسم الدوري الإنجليزي، وقد حدد موعدًا نهائيًا للاتفاق حول أي صفقة هذا الأسبوع.

وأشارت إلى أن بايرن ميونخ يدرس خياراته، ورغم أنه سبق وأن قيل إن عرضه الأخير هو النهائي، إلا أنه يفكر في تقديم آخر جديد.

وأفادت بأن هناك إمكانية لتقديم عرض جديد من طرف بايرن ميونخ خلال الأيام المقبلة، خاصة وأن النادي الألماني يسعى إلى حسم الأمر في أقرب وقت ممكن قبل بداية موسمهم بمباراة السوبر الألماني ضد لايبزيج يوم السبت القادم.

O meia Anderson Ceará teve um motivo especial para comemorar após ter realizado uma cirurgia no ligamento do joelho direito, em novembro de 2018. O atleta promovido pelo ex-técnico Cuca recebeu uma ligação com mensagens positivas do presidente do Santos, José Carlos Peres.

Peres deu a total tranquilidade para Anderson tratar a lesão com os fisioterapeutas do profissional. Além disso, bancou sua permanência no clube e disse que contava com o atleta de 19 anos para a disputa do Campeonato Brasileiro.

-Receber a ligação do Peres foi maravilhoso para mim. Foi algo tremendo. Quando ele disse que contava comigo para o Brasileiro, me senti muito feliz e confiante. Mesmo realizando fisioterapia no CT Rei Pelé em período integral, Anderson disse que ainda não teve contato com o comandante santista.

-Não tive contato ainda com o Sampaoli, mas pelo que eu vejo, pelo que os meus amigos me falam, é uma cara bacana, um paizão… Parece que ele gosta muito dos meninos da base – falou o atleta.

Anderson Ceará surpreendia o Santos. Ele começou o ano de 2018 no sub-20 do Peixe, mas disputou o Brasileirão de Aspirantes, geralmente integrado pelos jogadores sub-23. Somando as duas categorias, participou de 11 jogos e marcou três gols.

Em novembro, foi promovido pelo ex-técnico Cuca ao profissional. Ceará fez sua estreia contra o Botafogo, na Vila Belmiro, oito dias antes de se lesionar. A partida terminou empatada em 1 a 1 e o meia participou dos 15 minutos finais.

Em constante evolução, o meia se prepara para estar apto logo nas primeiras rodadas do Brasileirão e prosseguir o sonho de fazer jus à confiança depositada por Peres.

In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Mathur said that the concept of a formal body to control activities like spot-fixing would not be feasible as the franchises had control over players only during the tournament. Moreover, he said that incidents like these could not be completely eradicated but, with appropriate systems, could be controlled and reduced.”There’s no provision at the moment for a formal body. At the same time, there is a practical body in the sense that the teams have the players contracted with them for only 45 days,” Mathur said. “Beyond those 45 days, there is no relationship between the franchise and player. So if it’s the 46th day, and a team has to go to its captain, it’s on request mode. If we’re with a player only for 45 days, there’s nothing we can do beyond that. The players are busy, they have no relationship with you, so what kind of programmes or education or anything can you do? It doesn’t work.”Mathur also said there was very little administrators could do in the spot-fixing situation, but advised that systems governing cricket could always be strengthened. “I don’t think the IPL or the BCCI could have done anything more once it was revealed such a thing happened. The IPL or the BCCI doesn’t have the tools or the ability to monitor or police this beyond a point. So, they have to go by what the investigations throw up in terms of evidence or offence of the individual is concerned.”The systems can be strengthened, there could be better monitoring and provisions to ensure such things don’t happen. It’s not that the IPL is not aware of the importance of keeping the league and tournament corruption-free of informing and warning the players of an act of this nature. Before the season, the anti-corruption unit meets each team separately, it’s a pretty serious exercise.”Mathur also stated that there was now a greater understanding of the problem of match-fixing because such incidents had occurred in India, on the county circuit in England and in Test cricket. “I think there is an understanding across the boards, across the countries, across the ICC, across the member nations that this is a serious issue. It will throw up wrong things from time to time and you have to be vigilant, you have to educate, you have to monitor. And at the same time, after all this, if somebody is caught doing it, there has to be some punishment.”Mathur stressed on the importance of a law in India that could enforce stricter punishments for spot-fixing and other related crimes.”That punishment, in England came through the court of law, not through the ECB. Similarly there has to be some procedure through which it comes to court of law in India,” Mathur said. “Apparently, earlier, there was some uncertainty about which provisions of the law does such an act attract. Ultimately, we were informed yesterday that it is under conspiracy and cheating, which do not attract very serious punishments.  So maybe down the line there could be a special legislation which enforces stricter punishments for spot-fixing or any crime of this nature.”In response to a question on how franchises perceived the threat of spot-fixing, Mathur admitted that while vigilance wasn’t as stringent in the first year, franchises began understanding that controversies like these would affect their business.”I think in year one it was just a mad scramble to get things rolling,” Mathur said. “But very soon the understanding reached everybody that: a) it is sport, you can’t have sport sallied by something like this and b) it’s a commercial venture, you invest huge amounts of money into the team, into the franchise and you’re building a business. And the last thing a business wants is a controversy of this kind. It holds the foundation of a business of any kind, let alone a cricket team or a sporting tournament. So even before the ICC’s anti-corruption unit became a part of the IPL, I know many teams were telling their players the need to be clean, the need to be fair, the need to not do anything that would tarnish the brand.”

Umpire Steve Davis upheld the appeal but the batsman immediately asked for a review.Hot Spot replays indicated there was no bat involved, so it couldn’t be out caught, but the ball had both pitched and hit Kallis’ pad well in line with the stumps and the ball-tracking indicated that it would have clipped leg stump, which was shown to be an umpire’s call. As a result, Kallis was instead given out lbw, after input from the third umpire, Billy Bowden.The playing conditions allow for the method of dismissal to be changed during a review but have specific terms under which that can be done.Point 3.3 (f) in the playing conditions states: “The third umpire shall not withhold any factual information which may help in the decision making process, even if the information is not directly prompted by the on-field umpire’s questions. In particular, in reviewing a dismissal, if the third umpire believes that the batsman may instead be out by any other mode of dismissal, he shall advise the on-field umpire accordingly. The process of consultation described in this paragraph in respect of such other mode of dismissal shall then be conducted as if the batsman has been given not out.”So when it was evident Kallis could not be out caught, because he had not hit the ball, the evidence for an lbw decision should have been considered from the point of view that the on-field umpire had ruled it not out. The projected path of the ball – clipping leg stump – was then an umpire’s call, according to the DRS, and Kallis would have been not out.”The PCT made an honest error in this extremely rare situation,” the ICC said in a release. “The umpires followed usual umpiring principles in giving Kallis out lbw on umpire’s call the review was for the batsman out caught. This is because the normal principle is that an appeal covers all forms of dismissal.”However, the playing conditions state that when the third umpire observes that the batsman could be out by another mode of dismissal, the decision being reviewed using DRS should be as if the batsman had been originally given not out. Therefore, in this instance Kallis, as the point of impact was umpire’s call, should not have been given out lbw.”South Africa’s team management was “happy with the explanation” they were given, though Kallis had appeared confused about the mode of his dismissal at the time and had held a lengthy conversation with Davis before leaving the field. Team manager, Mohammed Moosajee confirmed South Africa had been involved in discussions with the umpires but said they would not take the matter further.”There is a code of conduct which we need to abide by when it comes to DRS. We sought clarity from the umpire and we were happy with the explanation,” Moosajee said. “We understand that if a batsman is given out for something and the technology shows something else, the third umpire is within his rights to make that decision.”Whatmore interpreted the dismissal in the same way. “My understanding is that when a decision is referred to the TV umpire, he can make his own decision,” he said.This is the second time in the series that DRS has come under discussion. At the Wanderers, Pakistan were unhappy with the use of Hotspot after four decisions went against them. They indicated they would write a report to the ICC and Whatmore said any grievances would be addressed through the channels provided, although nothing further was heard about the issue.Whatmore remained a backer of DRS in spite of the recent incidents. “I have always been a supporter of technology assisting umpires to make the right decisions. We are very pleased to have DRS. We had a series a few months ago in which we didn’t have DRS and it was very frustrating.”South Africa were also in favour of technology. Tillakaratne Dilshan not only passed three figures, but also ensured Sri Lanka passed the finish line without panic in a controlled chase.The two innings were statistically similar – in terms of strike-rate and number of boundaries hit – but the difference lay in the way they were paced. Watling came alive after he passed fifty, while Dilshan built his innings steadily and pushed on once his partnership with Angelo Mathews had all but ensured Sri Lanka to safety.New Zealand had scored 188, but the target was revised to 197. The chase began positively with Dilshan finding the gaps early on, but New Zealand hit back in the fifth over. After being caressed for two boundaries through the off side, Tim Southee bowled a bouncer and Upul Tharanga ducked and the ball deflected off his helmet for four.
