Copa do Mundo quebra paradigmas. VAR Tende a minimizar incoerências. Jogo diferente.

Caso Gabriel e Clayson, não possam atuar, o time será o do treino.

Reformulação do elenco:

Podemos desencaixar a marcação. Versatilidade me dá uma perspectiva de poder mudar.

Versatilidade:

Middlesex slide despite Strauss, Rogers hundreds

Glamorgan ended the third day at Lord’s in sight of an innings victory despite battling centuries from Chris Rogers and England Test captain Andrew Strauss

Glamorgan ended the third day at Lord’s in sight of an innings victory despite battling centuries from Chris Rogers and England Test captain Andrew Strauss, which had helped Middlesex temporarily hold a spirited bowling attack, led by the impressive James Harris, at bay. Middlesex, who began their second innings needing to score 373 simply to make Glamorgan bat again, made the visitors toil hard under increasingly cloudless skies but an inspired late spell from Harris yielded two important wickets and left the home side teetering at 293 for 6. Their situation could have been a lot worse, had Glamorgan made the most of the chances that came their way.Though there was no overnight declaration, Glamorgan will have felt that victory was achievable with a day to spare when they arrived at the ground and their belief would have been lifted when Harris removed Scott Newman in the fifth over of the Middlesex innings. While their bowlers were visibly keen, Glamorgan’s fielding was far from perfect, however, and a series of lapses allowed Strauss and Rogers to repair the innings with a 173-run stand that lasted until well into the afternoon. On a pitch that flattened out considerably in the sunshine, neither Harris nor Graham Wagg, who shared the new ball and swung it consistently at a good pace, could force more than the occasional error from the batsmen. Half an hour before lunch, Rogers cracked Wagg in front of square on the leg side and, immediately afterwards, lurched into an extravagant drive at one that left him off the pitch, a thick edge flying low to Bragg’s right at third slip. The chance was spilled, however, and more fumbles were to follow when Strauss, who had just 30 at the time, was put down by Gareth Rees under the helmet at short leg off Will Owen’s bowling. The luck appeared to be entirely on the side of the batsmen, and in the next over – Dean Cosker’s first of the day – Rogers clipped low but in the air towards Wagg at midwicket, but the shot didn’t quite carry to the diving fielder. As the skies cleared and the day began to warm, the batsmen settled and began to score more freely. There are plenty of similarities in Strauss and Rogers’ styles, and they matched each other almost shot for shot to bring up twin fifties off 81 and 89 balls, respectively. It was then that Strauss started to take the initiative, pulling ahead of Rogers and moving on fluently but continuing to ride his luck. Beaten in the flight by Robert Croft as he jumped down the wicket when on 92, he went through with an attacking stroke and lobbed the ball up and over point to move within one stroke of his century. He reached the mark, from 151 deliveries, and promptly edged Cosker past a diving slip fielder as Glamorgan’s shoulders began to sag. They were given a tremendous lift not long afterwards, against the run of play, when Rogers tapped Cosker to Wagg at midwicket and Strauss committed himself to a chancy single. He was sent back late and easily run out as the ball was rocketed back to the bowler with the batsman stranded halfway down the wicket. When Malan got a touch on one from Cosker that held its line, the ball nestling safely in Wallace’s gloves, and Neil Dexter was felled by Owen Middlesex were once again under pressure. Rogers responded with some obdurate batting, and found a willing partner in Jamie Dalrymple, who helped add 60 for the fifth wicket to raise Middlesex’s hopes once more. Rogers raised his first century of the season from 175 balls and began to look increasingly imperious at the crease, particularly on the front foot.It appeared Glamorgan’s cumbersome day in the field would continue into the evening when, with just four overs left in the day, Harris finally found a clean edge off the stubborn Rogers’ bat, but once again Glamorgan’s fielders were found wanting. The chance was parried by Alviro Petersen at first slip, setting off a scramble among the close catchers and wicketkeeper around him, none of whom could hold onto it.The lapse leant a few extra decibels to the level of Harris’s joyous roar when, two balls later, he forced yet another edge and this time Cosker at third slip deflected the chance into Petersen’s waiting hands. It ended a 310-minute vigil from the Australian and just about put paid to Middlesex’s faint hopes of saving this game.A pumped-up Harris got rid of Dalrymple, trapped in front of his stumps, with the first ball of his next over to put himself on a hat-trick. John Simpson defended his first delivery to point to deny Harris the honour, but edged his second just short of third slip in the tense closing moments of the evening. Middlesex’s position wasn’t quite perilous enough for the umpires to grant an extra half-hour of play, but Glamorgan will expect to wrap up a morale-boosting win in the first session on Sunday.

Source: Liverpool interested in Tchouameni

Liverpool have ‘registered an interest’ in signing “complete” defensive midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni this summer.

What’s the word?

According to Football Insider sources, the AS Monaco player is thought to be one of Liverpool’s top targets over the next few months as they look to bring him to Anfield as a long term replacement for captain Jordan Henderson and veteran James Milner.

A recruitment source told the outlet that the Reds have registered an interest in the Frenchman fter learning that Monaco are prepared to sell the player. It’s likely it will take a fee of no less than £50m to secure his services.

[snack-amp-story url=”https://www.footballfancast.com/web-stories/read-the-latest-liverpool-news-transfer-rumours-gossip-salah-gnabry-isak-romano” title= “Read the latest Liverpool news!”]

However they are not the only ones interested, Football Insider also revealed last month that the Reds’ rivals for the Premier League title Manchester City also want him.

Klopp needs him

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp needs to sign a top-class midfield player this summer as he can’t keep relying on Jordan Henderson and James Milner. They are not only ageing but also aren’t up to the level of teammates Thiago and Fabinho.

The Reds have been competing on all levels this season and find themselves in a third Champions League final in five years. If they are to keep competing amongst Europe’s elite then they need to make improvements to their midfield.

Signing Tchouameni would represent that upgrade. Although he might not possess the experience or leadership of Milner or Henderson, he is better technically.

He has made 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco this season and has been directly involved in four goals.

If you look at his defensive actions this season he has tackled a higher percentage of dribblers than both Liverpool players with 44.3% compared to Milner’s 41.2% and Henderson’s 30.2%.

He also has a higher pass completion percentage than both of them with 86.9% compared to Milner’s 81.8% and Henderson’s 83.2%.

Overall there is not much to separate the trio but the big difference is that he has much more room for improvement, and working under a manager as good as Klopp would allow him to reach his potential and be a key player at Anfield for years.

Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of midfielder but Tchouameni should very high on the list and would be considerably cheaper than some other options.

IN other news: Liverpool could finally replace Wijnaldum by signing £23.4m-rated “elite presser”…

Martin aims to bounce back after poor season

Chris Martin, the New Zealand seamer, had a poor 2009-10 season and has said that his performance in the upcoming series against India will help him decide on his future

Chris Martin: “I would like to go out on my terms”•AFP

Chris Martin, the New Zealand seamer, had a poor 2009-10 season and has said that his performance in the upcoming series against India will help him decide on his future. “I would like to go out on my terms. I don’t have any confirmed feeling on how long I will continue; whether I will play one more year or not. It will be totally about enjoyment and that will only come if I do well.”Martin, who has taken 181 wickets in 56 Tests, picked up only 16 wickets at 47.93 in the six Tests he played in the last year. His bowling had lost sting so much so that during a wicket-less Test – Martin’s last- against Australia in Hamilton, he was the last of the five specialist bowlers Daniel Vettori turned to in Australia’s second innings.”I didn’t enjoy the last year,” Martin, who will turn 36 this December, said. “I don’t know whether it was a cyclical thing or something to do with me getting old. The goal this year is to put that right. I am training and working my butt off and I will decide on my future based on how I am enjoying while bowling in the matches.”Mark Greatbatch, New Zealand’s coach, shared his views on the pace options besides Martin. “We’ve two guys who have come in, Andy McKay and Hamish Bennett. Both are young as far as the international scene is concerned but both have got raw pace about them and that can make a lot of difference. I think Tim Southee is developing. He is only 21-22; he has got a bit of experience.”Some of these guys haven’t been seen much by the opposition and that’s always quite a good thing as far as not picking up a bowler goes.”Martin was hopeful that the pitch would offer something to the seamers. “If the practice pitches are anything to go by, you would see the seamers having a role in the game. If you look at the stats for the last three series in India, I think the spinner and the quickies have taken wickets evenly. It gives me a bit of a chance and bit of a hope that the wicket will deteriorate and hopefully I will get into the act.”Martin said that his team was mentally prepared for the SG ball that aids reverse-swing. “This ball reverses earlier and more than the Kookaburra ball; My last international game was in April. There is no warm-up game here, but the way international calendar is these days, it’s not a surprise.” Martin said he hoped that the experience of playing in Zimbabwe on the A tour would stand him in good stead. “It’s good to have some cricket under your belt.”

Hopes and Hartley stage Queensland recovery

James Hopes and Chris Hartley rescued Queensland from a precarious position on a slow-moving opening day against Victoria at the MCG

ScorecardChris Hartley helped Queensland recover, with an unbeaten 64•Getty ImagesJames Hopes and Chris Hartley rescued Queensland from a precarious position on a slow-moving opening day against Victoria at the MCG. The Bulls recovered from 5 for 89 to reach 5 for 226 by stumps, with the captain Hopes unbeaten on 75 and the wicketkeeper Hartley on 64.The early stages of the day were a struggle for the batsmen, after Cameron White sent the visitors in on a pitch tinged with green. Clint McKay picked up two early wickets, trapping Ryan Broad lbw with an offcutter before adding Craig Philipson, who was caught behind for 4.Wade Townsend and Chris Lynn tried to steady the ship, but it was desperately slow going. Townsend was caught behind off Will Sheridan for 31 off 120 balls and the man who replaced him, Ben Dunk, soon became the first victim of Damien Wright.Wright was next to impossible to get away, and finished with 2 for 25 from 20 overs, finishing with the wicket of Lynn, who was bowled for 24 from 102. Hopes and Hartley found it much easier to score and they’ll be aiming to push on to a strong total on the second day.

Franklin's seven skittles Derbyshire for 44

ScorecardJames Franklin took career-best figures of 7 for 14 as Derbyshire were bowled out for just 44 on a day in which 24 wickets fell at Bristol. The visitors survived for only an hour and a quarter against the swinging ball on a greenish pitch as Franklin took five wickets in his first three overs without conceding a run. That was just the start of two crazy sessions in the County Championship Division Two clash, which saw Gloucestershire dismissed for 156 in reply, Steffan Jones claiming 4 for 26, and ECB pitch inspector John Jameson summoned from Birmingham. But by the time Jameson arrived batting conditions had improved. He left satisfied nothing was untoward after speaking to the umpires and Derbyshire closed on 127 for 4 in their second innings, leading by 15.Derbyshire were 9 for 6 at one point in their first innings, having been invited to bat under a cloudless sky. Jon Lewis had Wayne Madsen caught behind in the first over and Franklin then removed Chris Rogers, Chesney Hughes, Greg Smith, Wes Durston and Jonathan Clare in an amazing burst from the Ashley Down Road End.Bowling full and swinging the ball, the New Zealander looked to have virtually won the game in the first 25 minutes, gaining three lbw decisions and two catches. He added the wickets of former Gloucestershire player Steve Adshead and Graham Wagg before being taken off after six action-packed overs.Robin Peterson top scored with 15 as the visitors were blown away for their lowest score since 1975 – when they made 42 against Lancashire at Buxton – and their lowest ever against Gloucestershire.Lewis finished with 2 for 13, while the country’s leading wicket-taker, Gemaal Hussain, was barely required and bowled four overs for 15 runs.Batting looked no easier for the home side as they slumped to 30 for four in reply, Wagg claiming two of the wickets. But Hamish Marshall (45) and Chris Taylor (37) put together a stand of 69 and Gloucestershire looked to be building a significant lead. They were 132 for 5 at one point, but then imploded to the bowling of Jones, who took four wickets in five balls bowling from the Pavilion End. He dismissed debutant Jack Taylor and Lewis with successive deliveries, narrowly missing out on a hat-trick as Hussain survived a loud lbw shout. He was judged leg before to the next ball and at the start of his following over Jones had Steve Snell caught in the covers for 31.Second time around Derbyshire openers Rogers and Madsen took the score to 58 before a mix-up over a single saw Rogers run out by Lewis’s direct hit. They had almost wiped out the 112-run deficit when Madsen was caught behind off Hussain for 39.But Wes Durston and nightwatchman Tim Groenewald also fell in the closing stages, leaving Gloucestershire favourites to complete victory inside two days.
